It's Tic-Tac-Toe... but with math!

Students can practice factoring quadratics in this player vs player game.

Problems randomly generated are a FACTORABLE quadratic every time. Includes possible negative a's, b = 0, c = 0. It also includes problems where students may have to factor out a GCF first. No solutions need Quadratic Formula to find. No two sheets will be the same because the problems are completely randomly generated within the constraints.

Features:

* Runs anywhere Google Sheets can run.

*Three levels. a = 1, a is prime, a can be composite

* Computer generates unlimited problems, runs the game, and knows when students are right or wrong.

* Students are given 10 questions. The first to answer all 10 correct, picks the square.

* Computer checks the answers and knows when someone wins!

* Students can use their own avatars or take from 7 supplied.

In this version, answers must be completely factored and in an acceptable format for the computer to mark it correct. This means negative leading coefficients and GCFs MUST be factored and placed in front. Each factor MUST have parentheses around them, even they are a monomial (The order of these factors don't matter). There MUST be no spaces in your answer.

NOTE: This sheet contains a script that needs your okay to run. A warning message will pop-up. The script is written in Google App Script and is safe. The script modifies only its own sheets and nothing else. You can view the script through the Extensions-> App Script

These order of operations without exponents matching cards are cute, fun and engaging! Your students will get a set of 32 tree cards and match the top half with the expression to the bottom half with the answer. There are 2 sets of cards. One set has the answers underneath them if you plan on cutting them out for them. The other set has mismatched questions and answers so the students can do the cutting without knowing the answer ahead of time!

J'utilise ces 27 cartes "J'ai... Qui a ?" une fois que mes élèves sont familiarisés avec la valeur de position avec les nombres entiers.

Si vous n'êtes pas familier, les jeux de cartes "J'ai... Qui a?" sont des activités en grand groupe qui renforcent leur capacité à lire et à dire ce qu'il y a sur les cartes. C'est une excellente activité de révision avant l'évaluation et je l'utilise actuellement avec mes élèves de 5e et 6e année ; mais il pourrait facilement être utilisé en 7e année comme échauffement ou rappel.

Dans ce document de 7 pages, vous trouverez :

• Explication du jeu et comment démarrer avec des exemples.
• 27 cartes pré-créées (9 cartes par feuille) comportant des nombres entiers y compris les cartes "début" et "fin". Connect is a math-based card game that engages students. They can practice any math skill and have fun in this fast-paced environment. Students use flashcard-like playing cards and math symbols to match each other's cards. When there is a match, both players shout out the answer to the shown equation, and the fastest player wins!

The catch is, there could be multiple matches in a round when the top cards are taken off, creating a chain reaction of fun!

The best part is, you can edit the cards using Google Slides to fit any of your needs! This game can be used for ANY skill. Currently, the game is set up for times tables to 12, but you can replace equations as you see fit. It's easy change the cards to addition, fractions, percent, solving equations, factoring, etc.

Even though the game is designed for math, you could switch the game from math equations to sight words, rhyming words, description words, science words, important dates in history, etc. The cards are editable!

Celebrate Halloween while also evaluating functions! These Halloween Algebra 1 Pumpkin Puzzles are cute, fun and engaging! Your students will get a set of 32 pumpkin cards and match the top half with the function to the bottom half with the answer. There are 2 sets of cards. One set has the answers underneath them if you plan on cutting them out for them. The other set has mismatched questions and answers so the students can do the cutting without knowing the answer ahead of time!

All top halves of the cards are numbered so students can show work on their workspace and keep the work organized and make it easier for you to see if they are correct!
