• A simple spin on the classic game of I SPY ("Cherche et trouve" ou "C'est moi l'espion") geared towards Core French/FSL students in which they are first given practice with the structure: "Est-ce que c'est..." and answering the question with the affirmative, "oui, c'est..." or the negative, "non, ce n'est pas..."

• Students are then provided an opportunity to take turns being the spy - using objects in your classroom.

• It also comes with a 11" x 8.5" placemat to laminate (or to project onto your whiteboard/Smartboard) to provide students a visual when playing the game.

My (very) low-level middle-schoolers love learning about niche objects and concepts in Core French. I use their interests and personalities to create engaging projects that meet the outcomes. I actively use this particular project with grades 4, 5 and 6 but it could easily be used in a grade 7 or even grade 8 classrooms. If you use Pearson's Échos Pros, this works AMAZINGLY alongside "Ah oui, j'aime ça!"

Classroom management in a middle school Core French classroom can be dicey! That's why I engage my students as much as possible to keep em' on their toes! Prof du jour is a part of my everyday routine, where a different student each day is given the opportunity to lead the discussions with their peers and to give them confidence in French.
