Less than $5 Middle School Back to School Lesson (by date, latest first)

Pumpkin Drawing is the first art lesson I teach each year so the finished drawings will be ready for parents to view during back to school night and will be ready for Halloween too. It is also a simple lesson to teach students basic coloring skills.

Materials include two lesson plans (one for oil pastel/crayon drawing and one for Chinese traditional painting), teacher step by step samples, teacher finished samples, and student finished samples.

In this product, students will be provided with a list of positive words and will choose 10 positive words that describe themselves. Students will then narrow that list of 10 positive words down to 3. They will explain why that word describes them. Students will answer questions about themselves - Example: What is your favorite color? What is your favorite hobby? etc., Students will then describe themselves - what color eyes they have, what color their hair is, what their favorite thing about themselves is, what is something they want to improve on, etc. Students will draw a picture of themselves, and complete the activity of choosing a mirror, printing it out and putting a picture of themselves in the mirror and can share what they like about themselves. This product can be used independently or when students are working in a group. Students can keep their responses private or can share them with their peers.

This teacher lesson template comes in 3 color variations. Use PowerPoint to add textboxes and include whatever is needed to knock your lesson out of the park!

This product focuses on the following areas: Going to an apple orchard, where apples grow, the color of apples, the different parts of an apple (chart and separate fill in the blank provided with a key), the things we can make with apples, favorite part of the field trip, draw a picture of the favorite part of the field trip, tractor rides at the apple orchard, and list two fun things that were done at the apple orchard.

Students will be required to write answers in sentences - short or detailed and fill in the blanks in this product.
