I personally use these texts with Grade 1 and Grade 2 students in French Immersion. I feel confident that students from Kindergarten to Grade Three will find these most useful and teachers can come back to the texts with any students who may be experiencing challenges in their French reading skills. Core French teachers will be sure to add the resource to their repertoire for Grades 4 to 6 as they learn to read and write at the Junior level.

French Decodable texts BUNDLE that aligns with the Science of Reading are a NO PREP printable activity for the K-2 French classroom. Students practice endoding and decoding skills and build confidence in reading.

Make a few copies of each text and insert into clear pockets to create a quick and easy reading centre; arrange a table with four copies to create a quiet reading group; use one-on-one with your students to assess reading levels, to gain insights to their decoding skills, and to inform your upcoming lesson plans. This NEW game "Remue-Méninges" from Love Learning Languages. I love to play the game Brainstorming with my students! Easy to play and use with beginners and advanced students alike. This Remue-Méninges set is a classic version with no specific theme.This Remue-Méninges set includes 75 cards with French and English and files in French only. Great for Immersion schools!

Object of the game

One player or team tries to get his teammate to guess the words related to the first word. The player must give clues in FRENCH. Teams score points for each word successfully guessed in 3 minutes. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins. The teams take turn guessing and verifying the words have been guessed. You can also play this game in pairs! Amusez-vous bien!

These French speaking prompt cards are perfect for reinforcing grammar, vocabulary, and getting your students to speak French together! Very low prep. 30 question cards are included. Almost all of the est-ce que questions are asked in the tu form and require students to reply using je. Some of the questions encourage oui and non responses, but never without pushing for a bit more information like asking pourquoi. The questions include le présent, le passé composé et le futur proche.

There are many ways you can use this set of speaking cards:

➤ Print, laminate, cut out, punch holes and attach on a ring for small groups to ask and answer questions.

➤ Use as a warm-up speaking activity with a conversation partner. As students enter the classroom have them choose 2-3 cards from a box.

➤ Students who finish their work earlier than others can choose a few of the cards and write out correct answers to false statements.

➤ Use as exit tickets. Give each student a card before the end of class and as they walk out of the room they tell the teacher their answer.

➤ Stations: Put students into groups and divide the cards amongst them. Have groups rotate to a new station as they finish the cards.

➤ Scoot: Put one card on each desk in the classroom. Give each student a response sheet and set a timer to give them just enough time to answer true or false and to correct the false statements. When the timer rings students move on to the next desk and the next question. All cards are numbered so it is simple to stay organized. Full instructions are included.

➤ Use the cards with board games. Students must answer a question in order to move.

➤ Use the cards as an icebreaker activity at the beginning of the school year or right after school holidays.

Teaching French animaux - animals vocabulary?  Looking for an engaging way to get your French students to build their communication skills and vocabulary? Taboo is a fun French speaking and listening game where one student has to guess a word based on clues given in French by other students. The catch is that they cannot mention anything that is included in a list of taboo words.

This taboo speaking game is includes 75 cards about animals including the following categories: pets, farm animals, wild animals, sea life, insects, etc.

There is a set written in English and French and a set in French only. Great for immersion and core French!

All of the words on each card are written in French and English. This is very useful as many of the words will be new to students whether they are beginners or very advanced. Classic French Taboo Games Bundle - 3 Versions

Object of the game:

One player tries to get his teammate to guess the word at the top of a card. The player must give clues, but he can't use any of the Taboo words in his description. The taboo words are written beneath the underlined word at the top of the card.

This Petit Prince French Taboo game is about the wonderful and delightful classic story by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Looking for an engaging way to get your French students to build their communication skills and vocabulary while studying Le Petit Prince?

Taboo is a fun French speaking and listening game where one student has to guess a word based on clues given in French by other students. The catch is that they cannot mention anything that is included in a list of taboo words.

This Petit Prince edition includes 167 Vocabulary words translated as well as files in French only. Great for immersion or core French!

55 Common French Expressions

Learning common French expressions is a great way to spice up conversations, increase vocabulary, and sound more French. The grammar in these expressions is varied, so this resource is fine for all levels (even beginners). Many of these expressions are informal or familiar, and if that is the case it's indicated on the card. However, none of the expressions are inappropriate or vulgar. The idea is to not worry about WHY things are said this way in French, but instead to encourage our students to accept it and memorize these 55 short expressions, interjections, and sentence starters. My students have a lot of fun using these, and I love hearing them having fun with French!

In addition to the set of cards, you get video and audio versions. All of the words and expressions are spoken slowly, and students are given time to repeat them aloud. English translations are included for all 55 expressions on the video recording. Students will notice that the English versions are almost never direct translations, which is interesting to note! An audio recording is included so you can share this to have your students practice almost anywhere (even on the way to school)!

1. Video recording with all 55 expressions written in French and English - 9 minutes
2. Audio recording for listening comprehension and pronunciation practice - 9 minutes
3. Set of 55 practice cards to print, cut out, and use over and over again

How to use the set of practice cards:

Have students print and cut out the set of 55 cards, and hook them together with a ring. Expressions are written in French at the top, and in English at the bottom. As they practice and master these expressions by using the video and audio recordings, they can test themselves frequently with the stack of cards. When they feel confident with a word or expression, they can take a pair of scissors and CUT OFF THE ENGLISH translation on the dotted line. They'll eventually have a handy set of French only cards to pull out any time they'd like to review.

This is a set of 100 cards to have your students practice conjugating the verb être while also reviewing many other beginner French grammar topics. These cards are only in French and are suitable for core French or immersion classes.

Use these cards to practice conjugating être along with:

• adjectives of emotion
• geographical locations
• places around town
• simple expressions
• c'est and ce sont

This resource includes two different sets of 50 practice cards (100 total) to help your students learn and master être in the present tense.

A list of vocabulary that is used in the practice cards with a quizlet study set is included.

SET 1 (see preview)

The first set presents sentences in which students fill in the blanks with present tense conjugations. Every card highlights certain words (articles, adjective agreement, etc.) in blue.

In addition to conjugating être in the present tense, students should pay close attention to the highlighted words as they will need them in the set of CHALLENGE cards.

The second set is a real challenge. Students conjugate and fill in the missing words that they will have seen in the first set.
