What's Included?

• Colorful Cones: Colored ice cream cones, each labeled "Prime Numbers" or "Composite Numbers."
• Prime Scoops: Colorful ice cream scoops with prime numbers printed on them.
• B&W Version: A black and white version of all elements allows students to color the cones and scoops themselves after sorting.
• Answer Key

How to Use?

1. Print and prepare the desired number of sheets (colored or black and white) for your students.
2. Scooping Up Knowledge: Distribute the ice cream cones and scoops to each student (or group).
3. Sorting Time! Students will glue the prime number scoops onto the cone labeled "Prime Numbers" and the composite number scoops onto the cone labeled "Composite Numbers."
4. Checking for Accuracy: Students can use the answer key to verify their sorting or you can review the answers together as a class.

Bonus Tip: Challenge students to create their own "flavored" prime numbers by coming up with silly names that incorporate the numbers (e.g., the "Choco-3" prime number).

Ever needed a review activity on rational and irrational numbers that was fun and engaging for your students? Team Target Review is a cooperative and competitive activity designed to get students thinking, talking, and working together.

Teams of 2-4 students work together to complete increasing levels of difficulty on rational and irrational numbers. As students progress, you can quickly assess mastery and give intervention help on the spot.

This activity works great as an engaging review session before an assessment, a quick(ish) activity on one of those pesky minimum days where you have limited time, or as part of a block period when you want to break up the direct instruction.

This activity includes:

The aim of BOTH is DIY for students. Independent work by students – no prep needed by teacher.
