Roll and Build Boards || Single & Multi-Dice || 1-12
These roll and build boards can be used as part of small group instruction, an assessment piece for number identification and counting, or as a fun game in your classrooms interest areas.
What Is Included?
This PDF file comes with 16 boards in total:
8 one dice boards (1-6); 4 with and 4 without written directions
8 two dice boards (1-12); 4 with and 4 without written directions
How Do I Use It?
. Simply print the boards you want to use (you can choose from single or two-dice versions based on your students needs
. Encourage your students to roll one or two dice (based on the version you chose) and to count the number represented. Next, students will find the corresponding numeral on their board. Using the corresponding number of unifix cubes or any other stackable material, students will build a tower on top of that numeral. Repeat until board is filled!
Suggestions:
. Laminate these boards for long term classroom use
. These boards can be placed in math centers for students to play and explore freely
. Use as part of small group instruction to assess counting principles
. Add to morning boxes or busy boxes for early finishers to play
. Allow students to work together or compete using their boards. Who can complete their board first?

This is an introduction to abacus and the second lesson. Counting Numbers 5-9 Worksheets. The abacus used has 1 bead on top and 4 beads on the bottom. This activity focuses on the top bead (has a value of 5) and the bottom beads (has a value of 1 for each bead). Counting from five to nine. This activity also includes tracing numbers, coloring by number, pixel art coloring, matching numerals to objects, and abacus.
The abacus has been used for centuries and is utilized as a mathematical power tool that will help eliminate math anxiety. Included is a “filling” bucket to monitor students’ accomplishments and a certificate for completing Lesson 1.

Combinations of 5 & Combinations of 10 Math Games & Task Cards - Thanksgiving

Mastering combinations of 5 and combinations of 10 is essential for laying a strong mathematical foundation for students. The games provides opportunities for students to build number sense, improve addition skills and helps them prepare them for more advance math in years to come. The task cards provide an opportunity to practice the combinations with students in small groups. These math games and task cards are a simple way to incorporate math with your classroom holiday celebrations!
Here’s what’s included:
Combination of 5 Coveralls - 3 versions
Combinations of 5 Bump - 3 versions
Combination of 10 Coveralls - 3 versions
Combinations of 10 Bump - 3 versions
Combinations of 5 Task Cards - 12 cards

In the Combination of 5 games the students will be finding the combination, or partner number, to a given number to make 5. There are a variety of options to choose from with each game having three different game boards. In the preview is the directions for each game and one of the game boards for each version. A variety of playing cards are provided such as numbers, five frames with no number and five frames with number. Circle spinners are also provided for students to use.
In the Combination of 10 games, the students will be finding the combinations, to a number to make 10. There are three different versions of each game. In one game the students the students plays until one student has covered 10 different pairs of flip flops. The other game is a Bump game in which players are able to "Bump" their opponent's counter off a spot. The only materials needed for each of these games are the game boards, a die, and counters for each play. For extra durability laminate the games.
