This Letter Q Write the Room Activity includes 12 images that begin with the letter Q, such as "quilt" and "queen." Students will find these images spread around the classroom and use one of the four recording sheets to track their discoveries. Two recording sheets are designed with images for early learners, while two feature primary lines for writing practice. These low prep tear off strips bring a fun, active element to practicing letter sound fluency. My small group intervention students beg for this activity!

Display the 8 colorful sheets of tear off strips around the room. Students tear off one strip at a time and practice the row of 10 letter sounds 3 times to increase fluency. Then they can read their strip for the teacher or a classmate before choosing another sheet to tear from.
