This is a cut and paste activity for students to practice prepositional phrases. Students will need to cut the preposition out of the lists given and then paste it into the correct sentence. Then they will circle the prepositional phrase in the sentence.

This would be a great "Check for Understanding" activity or even a quick assessment.

Using a short summary of singers like Shawn Mendes, Arianna Grande, and Katy Perry, students will have practice correcting these interesting passages while learning about their favorite singers.

This free product includes a worksheet for Proofreading Rules, especially pertaining to these lessons. An additional handout will be offered that explains when to use italics, and when to use quotation marks. In reading passages about famous singers, you will see the use of album titles and individual songs used quite often.

This resource includes 3 different pages. The first page is for introducing the letter, the second is for reinforcement, and the third is a review page. How to Use Red Words: On the first page, students match letters of the red word first using magnetic letters, then using letter coins, and finally using scrabble letters. On the second page, students place the bumpy screen behind the paper. Then they trace the red word and write the red word in the letter boxes. On the third page, students use letter stamps and a red stamp pad to stamp the word as many times on the line as they can fit.

How to Use Word Dictation: First, students will match the dictated word letters using scrabble letters. Then, they will write or trace the word on the line below the scrabble letters. They will complete each word at the same pace as the classroom.

How to Use Sentence: First, teacher or student cut out each word box (teacher picks level colored or black depending on student needs). If using the colored word boxes, the student matches the word box color to the empty boxes
to complete the dictated sentence. If the student is using the black word boxes, they will listen to the dictated sentence and order the word boxes to complete the dictated sentence. After gluing the word boxes in correct sentence order, the student will re-write or trace the sentence on the lines below.
