Giving and Accepting compliments are a great social skill required for life! And even as teachers and staff, giving and accepting compliments is important to developing a strong, co-hesive, unified team environment. My word for 2024 New Years activity for students. Great activity for coming back from break, and can be cut out to be used to make a bulletin board. Can be used during writing, social emotional learning time, or as a center!

Two options (with and without lines) for students to write about their goal word, or the positive character trait, they choose for the new year. Have students reflect on the start of the school year and set a goal for the rest of the year by choosing a focus word**.** A list of 60+ positive character traits is included for student use.

A google slide option is also included, and the slides can be previewed in the video. A copy will be added to your google drive for you to remove slides if you wish and post for your students on Google Classroom.
