This is a set of Ten diverse summer destinations from around the world that you could include in your "Bop or Flop Summer Themed" activity.

1. Presentation: A slideshow featuring several summer destinations. With key information about each destination, such as location, popular attractions, outdoor activities, cultural experiences, and any special events or festivals.
2. Evaluation Form: An evaluation form for students to use while reviewing each summer destination. With criteria such as appeal, activities available, cultural experiences, and Bop or Flop.

How can be used?

Divide students into small groups and provide them with the presentation and evaluation form. Encourage them to discuss each destination, share their opinions, and fill out the evaluation forms together.

SINGLE LETTER PHONOGRAMS

ALL SINGLE LETTER PHONOGRAMS:

• Each consonant sound is shown once with the exception of the frequently confused letters b, d, p, and q, which are shown twice.
• Each vowel is shown twice for extra practice.

CONSONANT PHONOGRAMS:

• All single letter consonant phonograms shown once with the exception of b, d, p, and q (frequently confused).

VOWEL PHONOGRAMS:

• Each vowel (a, e, i, o, u) is shown three times.

VOICED CONSONANT PHONOGRAMS:

• Ask students to gently place their hands on their throats and feel the vibration when saying these phonograms. 

Phonograms included: b, d, g, j, l, m, n, r, v, y, w, and z.

UNVOICED CONSONANT PHONOGRAMS:

• Contrast the vibration felt with the voiced when you practice saying these unvoiced phonograms.

This resource provides a French Revolution simulation with roles for key figures like Georges Danton and Marie-Joseph Chénier. • Using Base 10 blocks to create shapes based on given dimensions;
• "Reading" Base 10 block creations for their dimensions;
• Strategies for calculating surface area (i.e.: physically counting, drawing, using equations);
• "Saying" area values out loud - and what to make of that exponent 2;
• Calculating area and perimeter of rectangles using formulas - I really emphasize the need to START with a formula and work with the formula!
• Finding missing values (dimensions) of a rectangle for area and perimeter;
• Constructing rectangles when given a total surface area (and nothing else);
• Finding dimensions that WORK and DON'T work for a given surface area;
• Finding total surface area and perimeter from given dimensions;
• Estimating total surface area and comparing different shapes' dimensions;
• Finding both area and perimeter for the same rectangle;
• The difference between two-dimensional and three-dimensional shapes;
• Using the formula for calculating volume - and starting with two values and working our way up!;
• Using Base 10 blocks to represent 3-dimensional shapes (and remembering that volume is the total number of units within the entire shape);

Your students will be provided with games:

In addition to the games, your students will have opportunities to see guided examples, practice with a partner and finally, practice solo.
