This resource helps students focus on selecting relevant evidence to support their answers, inferences, and ideas and better organize them when answering questions, preparing for an essay, or studying any literary or informational text.

✅ These graphic organizers contain breath-taking, visually appealing borders, clip arts, and fonts and can be used with essentially any literary or informational text. Additionally, the graphic organizers are differentiated to meet the needs of your students!

✅ These graphic organizers are designed to be used with any story or book. They are great for small groups, literature circles, reading workshop, centers, or use with your reading program. They can also be used after each chapter, as a formative assessment or "checkpoint" along the way, to keep track of important quotes throughout a reading, etc.

Citing evidence is an important skill that students MUST master to demonstrate credibility, proficiency, and sense of eloquence. This resource includes four rubrics that capture students’ level of mastery when using evidence. These rubrics evaluate students’ abilities to support their ideas, inferences, claims, and/or responses with relevant text evidence. It also evaluates the strength and thoroughness of their explanations/analysis of evidence.

All 8 Rubric pages are EDITABLE for you to adjust and modify to meet your needs!

The four rubrics come in two different variations (totaling 8 rubrics):

✅ Variation #1: The FOUR rubrics are created individually on one page and includes a “Comments/Feedback” section for you to complete.

✅ Variation #2: The same FOUR rubrics are minimized to two (of the same rubric) on one page without the “Comments/Feedback” section.

Please note, the editable version does not contain the same fonts and borders that are in the PDF version because they are copyrighted materials by contributing clip art artists. The editable version has been created using Times New Roman fonts to ensure full and complete access of the rubrics without any formatting issues. Additionally, I replaced some of the copyrighted clip art with “free to use” clip art! You may modify the fonts and add your own clip art and borders as you wish!

30 Question Worksheets

• This resource includes six differentiated question worksheets (Multiple-Choice, Short Answer, and Short Response) for EACH passage to help you differentiate for students of ALL levels. Most worksheets require students to use evidence/details from the passages to support ideas. Worksheets come in different formats. ANSWER KEYS for all worksheets are included!

Level Complexity:

• The passages have different levels of difficulty for differentiation. In addition, Question Worksheets range from basic comprehension questions (lower-level) to inferential questions (higher-level).

• These Question Worksheets can be used as a quiz, test, formative assessment, homework assignment, classwork assignment, or can even be used during guided practice! A great idea would be to see how well students perform with the basic comprehension questions, and if they do well on that, you can challenge them further by giving them the inferential thinking question worksheets!

• You can even gather a small group of students and practice skills including basic comprehension, inferences, details, and writing. There's a worksheet for each skill!
