High Interest Activity to Demonstrate Knowledge:

Students are fully engaged in displaying what they have learned about symbiotic relationships. Students will research two organisms which will be chosen at random or assigned by the teacher. Tabletop texting is a great way to assess student learning on the topic you are studying in class. It is also a great way to foster student collaboration skills and keep students engaged.

Use this product after your lesson to review what students have learned. Pair students using the included partner cards, then have students "text" each other about the topic they are studying. My students always loved this activity and I loved it because they were engaged and having fun!

Designing an experiment is an essential skill in science class and for Cambridge Exam.

If you want to improve your AICE passing rates, look no further, this activity will help students build confidence and score higher on the AICE Exam!

Designing an experiment requires students to think critically. They must identify a problem or question, formulate hypotheses, and plan the steps needed to test those hypotheses. This process promotes analytical thinking and problem-solving skills that are valuable not only in science but also in various aspects of life. Further students have to sketch a data table that could be used to collect data during an experiment and graph the predicted outcome of the experiment. Last, the activity asks students to identify any ways to improve each experiment.
