A Christmas Carol - A Traditional Version Play Script

This is a play script for Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol'. It tells the story of a mean, old man named Ebenezer Scrooge, who runs a dark and miserable business. His workers are under-paid and over-worked, especially his assistant Bob Cratchett.
It is Christmas eve and his Bob asks for the day off to spend time with his family, and sick child – Tiny Tim. Scrooge almost refuses but decides to just dock his pay for the day. Then, that evening he gets a visit from his previous business partner – another miserable person called Jacob Marley.
Marley tells him he needs to change his ways or end up with the same fate as him; he tells him how he will be visited by three ghosts that night. The ghosts visit and show Scrooge various things that upset him enough to change his ways.
After the visits of the ghosts Scrooge wakes up on Christmas day a changed man and tries to put right all the wrongs he has caused over the previous decades!

Each name tent is a half page (landscape). Copy on card stock paper to make them stronger. Fold the page in half and stand on the desk. Students fill in the sections and use color to express themselves!
Great activity for the first day of school. While you are busy doing all the things or waiting for everyone to arrive, they have something to keep them busy! Writing a fairy tale can be a fun and interesting project for your students. This product provides students with the opportunity to use creativity while writing their fairy tale and share it with their peers!
This product includes information to share with your students about what a fairy tale is, why do we write a fairy tale, challenges characters may face in fairy tales, who could be your audience when writing a fairy tale, rules to follow when writing a fairy tale, possible options students can choose to publish their fable, using a strong opening compared to a weak opening in the first paragraph of your fairy tale, tips that are useful to write a great fairy tale, a layout of the fairy tale is provided, an example of a fairy tale is included in this product that includes an idea template, planning the fairy tale with more in depth ideas, and an example of a fairy tale rough draft is included in this product.
After the example is read, students can answer 6 comprehension questions about the fairy tale. Students will are also provided with a template that includes an area for 3 fairy tale ideas, and once they choose their fairy tale, they can add onto their fairy tale using the idea chart. Templates are included after the example along with a rough draft template and reminder checklist so students remember to go back and check their work once it is completed.

Writing a story about a haunted house can be a fun and interesting project for your students especially around Halloween. This product provides students with the opportunity to use creativity while writing their story about a haunted house and share it with their peers! Students can also write their story with a peer which encourages students to communicate and work with one another.
This product includes information to share with your students about what a story is, why we write a story, who is your audience when writing a story, what is your purpose when writing a story, how will the story about a haunted house be published, and rules to follow when writing a story about a haunted house.
An example of a story about a haunted house is included in this product. After the example is read, students will be provided with a template that includes an area for 3 haunted house story ideas, and once they choose which story about a haunted house they will write about, they can add onto their story using the idea chart.
Following the example, templates are provided rough draft template, 1 template that allows for students to write down three story ideas that include what happened in the story, who are the characters, and how does the story end. One the 2nd template, students can write down three brief summaries about haunted house story ideas. On the 3rd template, students can write down two brief summaries about haunted house story ideas if the template that includes 3 story ideas is too overwhelming for students. Students will then have a rough draft template that can be filled in. This includes the title of their haunted house story, the characters, the setting, and the plot. Students can then use the rough draft template to write their rough draft. Once students have edited their rough draft, they can use the final draft template that is included or they can type it. A reminder checklist is provided after the rough draft and final draft to remind students to reread their work to check for any mistakes.

Writing an informational essay is an important writing project that gives students time to conduct research on a specific topic that is of interest to them. Once they are finished with their masterpiece, they can share it with their friends and family members. This product includes information to share with your students about what informational writing is, why we complete informational writing tasks, what steps to follow when writing the introduction/lead topic sentence, subtopics #1, #2, and #3, and the conclusion to form a strong essay on a topic, how to make our writing flow so that it makes sense to the reader, and tips to look for when rereading and editing.
