High Frequency & Sight Word Bracelet & Worksheets for Fluency & Word Work

By Mrs Wates Teaching Creations

These adorable sight word & high frequency word bracelet worksheets are the perfect way to help your students practice Fry's sight words and achieve their fluency goals. Perfect for kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students. These sight word activities are ideal for literacy centers, morning work, early finishers, substitutes, and homework. Each template includes fun and interactive sight word practice through sight word tracing, word searches, and clapping syllables. Your students will have fun making their own brag bracelets featuring their target words. Use these versatile printables for sight word games, word work printables, and other Literacy Center Word Work activities. These worksheets will keep your students excited about reading and spelling while building confidence and fluency with high-frequency words. US and UK spelling available.

This pack includes the following 46 bracelet templates:

  • away, blue, brown,
  • came, down,
  • find, funny, go, help, hens,
  • red, run, said, see,
  • the, three, two, too,
  • up, we, purple,
  • but, came,
  • is, jump, little, look,
  • make, me, one, play,
  • in, not, and,
  • yellow, you,
  • all, am, at, are, ate,
  • be, black,
  • into, like, must.

Here are 5 fun and creative ways you can use these word bracelets in class:

1. Morning Sight Word Warm-Up

  • Start the day by handing out sight word bracelet worksheets as a morning work activity. Your students can trace, color, and cut out their sight word bracelets, wearing them throughout the day. This gives them a constant visual reminder of the word, reinforcing their learning.

2. Sight Word Hunt

  • After your students create their bracelets, organize a sight word scavenger hunt. Hide word cards around the classroom or use text from books, and your students must find their sight word or other classmates sight words to match with the bracelets they are wearing.

3. Sight Word Peer Teaching

  • Pair students up for peer teaching. Each student will teach their partner the sight word on their bracelet. They can practice spelling it out, using it in sentences, and finding it in reading materials. This helps reinforce word recognition through collaborative learning.

4. Literacy Center Word Work

  • Incorporate the bracelets into your literacy center. Assign different high-frequency words each day, and students can make their bracelets, then use them in activities like word searches, sight word games, or creating sentences with their sight word.

5. Sight Word Fashion Show

  • At the end of the week, host a sight word fashion show. Your students can wear their sight word bracelets and take turns modeling while saying their word, spelling it out, and using it in a sentence. This fun activity boosts confidence and word recognition.
