Perseverance is one of those skills that is truly mastered when they are able to practice is "on the spot" and build skills in the moment. This activity provides a safe and comfortable way to do just that, while creating both fun scenarios and more realistic scenarios that they may face in their day to day lives. This activity includes TWO separate classroom lessons (and the foundation of a great writing activity, too!), a list of random items that you could use in your classroom, and two pages of scenario cards. This "Think Before You Speak" activity puts a focus on taking time to reflect and think before speaking to others. In this interactive activity, students are put into teams, where they are helping one another guess a specific word while also avoiding the guess of another word. Students must focus and carefully select the words in which they are using to be helpful - a social skill that we all utilize daily (even if we do not realize it!) This activity is a great resource to bring this skill to life and take time to reflect and connect - while having a little fun in doing so! Everything you need for this activity is included in the digital download, including reflection discussion questions, so once you purchase, you are ready for your next classroom lesson! *A note is included on materials that may be helpful for the activity, but are not necessary when fully utilizing the activity!*

This interactive SEL Community Building + Cooperation activity is based on the famous question, "If you were stranded on a desert island..." however, it comes with a small twist! Students will answer get to know you questions that will then turn into their list of items that they can potentially bring on board on their island adventure. The fun part is that they do not know that their answers to the questions are building their lists for the island. Once questions are answered and lists are created, they are put into teams to decide which items must come and which will stay behind!
