These holiday themed letter and number cards and puzzles are a great activity for preschool and kindergarten students. Students can practice letter and number recognition by matching capital and lowercase letters and matching numbers and number words up to 20.

What is Included:

• Alphabet cards for capital and lowercase letters

• Matching Game: Match capital and lowercase letters or numbers to the number words.
• Fishing Game: Attach a paper clip to the card and use a magnetic fishing pole to "catch" the letters or numbers.
• Salt/Sand Tray: Use these cards as a model to show students what to write in the sand.
• Letter or Number Hunts: Have students find the letters or numbers that you have hidden around the room.
• ABC Order or Number Order: Have students place letters or numbers in the correct order.
• Pocket Chart Game: Place the cards into a pocket chart and hide a picture behind one of the cards. Have students guess which card the hidden picture is behind.

With a wide variety of uses, these cards will allow students to be engaged with learning their letters and numbers, as well as learning number words and practice counting.

These printable student greeting cards are also perfect if you'd like to write a happy note home to a student or a thank you card.

Each card comes in color or black & white with options to print 1 or 2 cards per piece of paper. Each card/s prints on a standard 8.5" by 11" piece of paper. The inside of each card is blank for students to be able to add their own writing and pictures.

We all know how students get excited on holidays: Chistmas, Valentine's, Halloween, and Thanksgiving! Through these activities, not only will they have fun working together or individually to solve the puzzles, but they will also have the opportunity to practice reading latitude and longitude coordinate grid systems (absolute location). • Love Talk: In the second task, students will read 8 quotes about love from famous figures and must identify the parts of speech of underlined words within the quotes.
• Shall I Compare Thee: In the third task, students will perform a close reading of Shakespeare's famous Sonnet 18, Shall I Compare Thee to a Summer's Day. Then, they will answer multiple choice questions about the poem.
• Fondly Figurative: In the fourth task, students must identify the figurative language devices used in popular love songs.
• VDay Trivia: In the final task, students will be quizzed on what they learned throughout the first four tasks and enter their answers to Valentine's Day trivia questions in a fun crossword puzzle. Circled boxes within the puzzle will reveal their final code.

Looking for a complete French lesson plan on Valentine's Day? The content of this unit will appeal mostly to sixth to twelfth grade French learners. The presentation will lead you through an age appropriate discussion of Valentine's Day in France and the cultural differences between North America and France. You can use this lesson with many different levels as there are a lot of different resources included. Be sure to have a look at the video preview!

Saint Valentin 20 Questions Game is a fun and effective way to practice forming questions and speaking French using Valentine's Day vocabulary. French and English as well as French only versions are included.

Dominoes Game 16 dominoes to cut out on card stock for a quick activity that your students will enjoy playing.

Tell me 3 things - Dis-moi trois choses: Intermediate to advanced level students work in pairs or small groups and take turns choosing a card and saying three things about what is written on it. Other students listen closely and can react and / or ask questions. All of the cards are written in French only.

In the presentation notes you will often find suggestions for enrichment activities, links to internet websites that go along with that particular slide.

20 questions games are a fun, effective, NO PREP way to practice forming French questions. Click on individual game links for specific details on each version. This bundle saves you 50%. These games work for any level as they are written in French and English. Want a real challenge for your upper levels or immersion students? Use the French only version!

Have students work in small groups of 2-4 or project the game and use it as a whole class activity.

Many of the words may be new to your students as this game is meant not only to practice forming questions, but also to build vocabulary. I like to allow my students to look at the game chart while they play until they’re somewhat familiar with the words. After they've played the games a few times looking at the French-English version they feel more prepared to move on to the French only version.

One student in the small group or class chooses a word on the chart. Other students ask up to 20 questions trying to guess the secret word.

The student who has chosen the secret word can answer using the following responses: OUI - NON - PARFOIS - RAREMENT - GÉNÉRALEMENT - PEUT-ÊTRE - CELA DÉPEND - PROBABLEMENT

Alternative game play:

To change up the game and to make it more challenging as well as practicing other skills, have the student who chooses the secret word describe it to others in the group. Instead of asking questions about the secret word, other students listen to the description and guess it.
