Introducing the Rock’N’Rollin’ For Preschoolers book from ZS Music Publishing. Rock’N’Rollin’ For Preschoolers is a precursor to the Rock’N’Rollin’ Level 1 to prepare the younger drummer for their music career.

Rock’N’Rollin’ For Preschoolers is a scaffolded book that starts off by teaching Bass Drum and adds on instruments throughout the book. The book is designed for junior drum sets with the idea that these drum sets may or may not have three Tom Drums to accommodate all kinds of sets.

Students will gradually learn the instruments one by one and together. The layout of the concepts are:

If students move to Level 1 Encore, the back of the book is a section to prepare students for Level 1 Encore if they skip Rock’N’Rollin Level 1. For this section, there are 8 pages that have been pulled from Rock’N’Rollin Level 1.

In total, there are 33 “songs” in the book along with activities scattered through our including 4 pages for students to create their own beats.

The next level in the Rock'n'Rollin' method books! In R'N'R 3, we continue in the 5-line staff and in all black and white pages! The book focuses on getting students used to reading and playing on the 5-line staff. Concepts included in the book are: 8th-note bass drum rhythms, 16th notes, Dotted Quarter Notes, Mezzo Dynamics, 6/8 time signature, and more!

The book itself is 100 pages and includes 20 Rock'N'Rhythm pages, practice trackers, and a graduation certificate at the end! The activities pages have been moved to the Rock'N'Rollin' Encore Level 3 book, which will be out soon.

Get your students composing quicker than you can say "Compose"!

Through the MINI MUSIC books, students are introduced to various concepts through composition. In the Alto Clef, students write 36 short songs through given sets of notes on the Bass Staff which leads up to learning 5-note scales of C and G Major, and D Minor. This book is set up for students to write out notes in 4 measures using 4/4 and 3/4 times. The final two songs are blank 8 measure songs for students to write “longer” pieces.   

There is also a good mix of titled and untitled songs. Most all songs give students prompts to give them inspiration before writing, and some include a blank title for students to come up with their own. Creativity is the goal here, and students should enjoy the composing process. This book gives students a chance to do so, in small chunks so you can fit them in lessons!

The difference from the other version is this book is ready to print and go! You dont need to worry about chopping pages or binding. You can also just print individual pages for students to complete on their own, or even for exit tickets!
