Teaching the passé composé ? These 30 French passé composé fill in the blanks Boom cards will get your students practicing this crucial tense with être and avoir auxiliaries on their computers or tablets. Students need to type in responses so they will need to choose the correct helping verb and agree if necessary. The level of the sentences are intermediate to advanced.

Everything you need to practice Simulated Conversations! Spanish students can practice conversing with these simulated conversations.  Answering questions can be difficult for students, but these TEN interpersonal speaking tasks give students some general information about what they will hear and how they should answer.  An audio link accompanies each conversation, with a 20 second timed pause for students to answer.  There is also a rubric for easy feedback!

These simulated conversations mimic the AP Spanish Simulated Conversation task and are also great practice for Seal of Biliteracy tests (like AAPPL) where interpersonal speaking is one of the tasks. Start practicing early!

Classroom management in a middle school Core French classroom can be dicey! That's why I engage my students as much as possible to keep em' on their toes! Prof du jour is a part of my everyday routine, where a different student each day is given the opportunity to lead the discussions with their peers and to give them confidence in French. Sit back and watch the magic!

This isn't just a run-of-the-mill calendar! My Prof du jour is at the command desk and interacts with their peers and the Google Slides. Here are some activities that my Grades 4, 5 and 6 students actively use found in this document:

• Complete Calendar (drag & drop icons) for SEPTEMBER 2024 - JUNE 2025.

• Weather, time of day, days of the week, and terms like "yesterday," "today," and "tomorrow."

• Two versions available: One has the Sunday start and another has the Monday start, depending on how you prefer to view your calendar with your students.

• A Wheel Decide question prompter (which you can edit by removing or adding questions your students are working on).

• An "I SPY" prompter (a favorite in ALL of my classes).

• A "GUESS WHO?" prompter.

• A Franco DJ Music activity (great for explaining why they like/dislike something with sentence starters).

Around your classroom and have student's fill-in the blank.

These images are basic images for students to use repeated times as they learn new verbs. I would print and laminate these and use them as stations along with the Stations Doc for students.

Preterite vs. Imperfect Activity

For this activity it is more specific of what is required of students to complete. Students should walk around with their packet and fill-it along as they walk around the classroom. For this activity there are 19 stations that need to go on the wall. The last number which is number 20 should be completed in their desks.

You can start numbers on different stations so, that it does not get crowded.

Here are the included verbs : acheter (teach accents changes), écouter, marcher, parler, toucher, aimer, chanter, entrer, fermer, poser. Students read a sentence and change the verb to agree with the subject pronoun given. Students need to click the right answer after reading the first sentence. These games are perfect for students to practice speaking for their AP SPANISH LANGUAGE AND CULTURE EXAM.

GAME #1 IS PLAYED LIKE SNAKES AND LADDER. ALL STUDENTS have an opportunity of winning because it's also based on luck!

GAME #2 Has two options. Option 1: Teacher can print a copy for each group and they use a dice (the old school way, that works amazingly too), or

OPTION 2: Students can play online using my secret link. If students play online only one person needs to have it up on their computer and it is more of an interactive way!
