• Criss-Cross: In the first task, students must solve a crossword puzzle with questions about characters, literary elements, quotes, and plot events of the story.
• Cat & Mouse: In the second task, students draw lines to match poetic devices within the story to their definitions. (Devices covered: metaphor, simile, onomatopoeia, hyperbole, personification, allusion, repetition, alliteration, idiom, irony).
• Quote Me On This: In the third task, students fill in the blanks with notable quotes from the story.
• The Plot Thickens: In the fourth task, students must order the plot events of The Most Dangerous Game on Freytag's Pyramid.
• Jig Saw Quote: In the fifth and final task, students must complete a jig saw puzzle that reveals a quote from the tale. Once they figure it out and bring it to you, the students may escape from Ship Trap Island!
