These art worksheets are a hands-on way to check for understanding of elements & principles in your elementary classroom. Multi-purpose worksheets for elements of art & principles of design are included. Designed specifically for elementary, they can even be used with your young kindergarten learners.

Included are matching assessments between the Elements of Art and definitions and the Principles of Design and definitions. There are 3 different sets of these matching assessments with an icon (shape) so you can easily distinguish the version of the assessment. Each of the 3 assessments is also available without the shape icon. Answer keys are included.
There are 2 versions of the fill-in-the-blank assessment for both the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design - a short version and a longer expanded version - all with an included answer key.
Want students to show what they know? Use the included resources with frames, both with and without definitions for students to illustrate the meaning of the term for Elements of Art & Principles of Design. A list of suggested uses is also included.

Winter Holiday Art Games | Roll a Dice Game Sub Activity

Looking for a quick and easy art lesson that students love but is not a coloring sheet? Try this game. This roll the dice game has 2 different games - a holiday version (stocking) and a winter version (mitten), each with 2 variations.
It is super engaging and is perfect for a 1 day lesson, a no-prep sub lesson, as an assessment for students, for early finishers, or to set up as an activity for centers.
Instructions for use and instructions for assessment are included. Written assessments include version with sentence stems for English language learners and without.
So much is included with this highly engaging lesson! Included in the PDF file is:
The game is perfect for a sub lesson for grades 2-5 (or middle school). Leave copies and dice or laminate blank game boards and let students design their own game using dry erase markers, then play the game they created.
Use the mitten game for students to practice before making their own game to play using the blank template provided.

Art Assessment Four Corners Bilingual | Elementary Art Assessment Editable

This bilingual resource is designed for assessment and has so many more uses in the Art room! Use it for traditional four corners assessment that incorporates movement and discussion (full instructions & examples are included), remind students of procedures & techniques, group students, in conjunction with teaching art history, or even as an assessment game (instructions included).
Four corners markers are 8.5" by 11" and have a number and color. The number and color are written in English, Spanish, and French. This resource is another way to add literacy in the Art room!
Each set of markers (1-4) has 7 artwork choices - 3 self-portraits plus 4 others by a diverse group of famous artists. If you still don't see your favorite artists, an editable PowerPoint file is included so you can create your own custom set of four corners markers.
The resource is huge - 28 pages of markers plus 4 editable markers, instructions, sample questions for assessment and review, and suggested game instructions! It includes everything you need to use four corners successfully in your room.
