This resource uses the Odd One Out format to review geographical facts related to Asia. From a list of 4 items, students will determine which item does not belong and then how the other 3 are related. Included is 20 Placards, an answer document, and an answer key.

This product is a crossword puzzle over facts about East Asia. Questions include the geography, history, people, economy, and culture of East Asia. Answer key is included.

This Bundle of resources uses the Odd One Out format to review geographical facts related to North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia and Oceania. From a list of 4 items, students will determine which item does not belong and then how the other 3 are related. Included is 20 Placards, an answer document, and an answer key.

This product is a bundle of 10 crossword puzzles. Included are the regions of North America, South America, Europe, Russia, North Africa/Southwest Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, East Asia, and Australia.

Please Note: This is for those who are interested in examining China's One-Child Policy of 1979. It does not address the updated China population policies Two-Child Policy (2016) & Three-Child Policy (2019). Geography & Math Made Easy carries a lesson that address all policies called One Child, Two Child, Three Child or More?

This lesson will encourage higher-level thinking & problem-solving skills while keeping student engaged! This higher-level thinking skill lesson encourages student participation. This is written for a group activity but can be easily modified into an individual assignment. All resources and links are provided.

This geography and science lesson is intriguing and engaging! The construction of the Three Gorges Dam in China, the largest hydropower project in the world — that took 18 years to build and over 40,000 workers,—has sparked numerous controversies and debates regarding its impact on the environment.

One of the most intriguing claims is that the immense weight of the dam's reservoir has caused the rotation of the Earth to slow down. Some scientists argue that the shift in mass could potentially affect the Earth's rotation, while other scientists neglect the belief. The Earth's rotation is influenced by a multitude of factors, including natural processes such as earthquakes and the melting of polar ice caps, making it unlikely that the Three Gorges Dam alone could significantly slow down the planet. Students will work together to complete the Doodle Notes that go along with the PowerPoint presentation. Students will hypothesis whether the Three Gorges Dam has slowed the earth.

Note: This lesson supports the idea that the dam has slowed the earth's rotation and provides the scientific backing for it. Please feel free to modify this lesson to support one or the other side.
