This first grade math ring set focuses on learning about money. If includes the coins, pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. Students will practice counting money and comparing different amounts of money. There are a variety of activities and difficulty levels for this packet. Set 1: Students will count the number of dimes and pennies and write the number in the correct spots to determine how much money they have. Set 2: Students will count the number of dimes and pennies and write the numbers in the correct spot. This math ring is in a Tens/Ones format. These first grade math rings are for comparing two digit numbers. There are activities for drawing, using number bonds, addition sentences, greater than and less than, and more or less concepts to explore 2 digit numbers. Set 1: Students are given a number and must draw the number, make it into a number sentence (ex: 33 = 30+3) and create a number bond based on the number sentence. Set 2: Students are given a number and they must draw their number and then write the tens and ones for that number. Set 3: Students must record if the first number is greater than or less than the second number by using the greater than or less than symbol. Set 4: Students will look at two base ten block number representations and will determine if the first set is more or less than the second set. Set 5: Students will look at two different representations of a number (one side will be standard form and the other side will be either base 10 blocks or tens and ones representations) and students must compare and determine which is greater than or less than the first number. Set 6: Students will look at different number representations and determine if the first number is greater than or less than the second number. This set is slightly more difficult than set 5. Recording sheets are available to record your answers or you can laminate the math ring cards and record your answers directly on the cards. This packet focuses on place value for 3 digit numbers. Task cards are available with a 3 digit number and students can build the number using colored hide zero cards or place the correct card that shows the numbers expanded form. There is also a place value matching or concentration game. These activities are perfect for small groups and centers.

In this product you will find:

Pages 2-11: These are 20 place value cards where students can build the number represented using the place value number cards or the expanded place value cards.

Pages: 12-17: Place Value Number Cards (Hide Zero Cards): Print each set in different colors to use to build the numbers from the place value cards. Pages 12-14 are to be one color, pages 15-16 a second color and page 17 needs to be a third color.

Pages 18: This page has plus and equal signs to be used to build the expanded forms of the numbers. (p.20-22)

Page 19: A recording sheet for the place value cards.

Pages 20-22: Place Value cards that can be used as task cards for students to use p.12-18 to build the expanded form or used with the following set of cards to create a matching or concentration game.

Pages: 23-25: Can be used as task cards to write the standard form of the number or used with the previous set of cards to create a matching or concentration game.

Pages 26-30: Expanded form cards to use with the cards on pages 2-11.

Place value is a necessary skills for students to learn, so why not make it fun and engaging! This packet includes several activities and center ideas for students to demonstrate and practice their knowledge of place value! This packet focuses on tens and ones. Activity 1: Place Value Sheets (pp 2-20): Each page focuses on numbers in ascending order (pp 2-10). Starting at 10 and working their way up to 99. Pages include mixed practice as well (pp 11-20). Activity 2: Place Value Cards (pp 2-10, 19): Print these pages on card stock , cut out and laminate. Students can use dry erase markers to fill in the answers on the cards and they can be wiped clean in for repeated use! Activity 3: Place Value Cards with Answer Sheet (pp 21-27): Print the place value cards (pp 22-27) cut out and laminate for durability. Have students draw a card and record the number they have on their answer sheet (p 21). You can also laminate the answer sheet for repeated use. Activity 4: Place Value Least to Greatest (pp 22-27): Print the place value cards (pp 22-27) cut out and laminate for durability. Give students a set amount of cards and have them place the cards in order from least to greatest. Activity 5: Place Value Dice Game (pp 28-36): Print out the dice (pp 29-32) on card stock, cut out and assemble as dice. Print the desired recording page for students to use individually or in groups. There are two types of recording pages. Math Rings: Numbers within 120 -- Students will fill in the missing number in various sequences of numbers by counting by 1s, 2s, 5s and 10s. Math Rings: One More One Less -- This math ring packet includes problems and word problems for solving one more and one less. There are 6 different rings with 2 levels of difficulty. Math Rings: Place Value of Two Digit Numbers -- This ring includes various activities to practice number knowledge and working with place value of two digit numbers. Math Rings: Sequencing -- Fill in the missing number in a variety of number sequences, from counting to skip counting with in 120. Math Rings: Telling Time -- Students read different clocks to record what time they say. Math Rings: Ten More/Ten Less -- Students will find 10 more or 10 less of numbers with 100 as well as solve word problems for 10 more and 10 less. Math Rings: True and False Equations -- This set contains math rings for determining if the card shows a true equation or a false equation comparison. There are 3 different rings each with 2 difficulty levels.

This Jeopardy game is a review of Math content in 2nd grade. The categories include Base 10, Place Value, Addition, Subtraction, Geometry/Measurement & Data, and Word Problems. It is completely interactive. No need to scroll through all the slides, you just click on the points for whatever category that you like and it will take you right to the question.

This would be a great product for a review at the end of the year for 2nd grade, practice during summer school, and even a pre-assessment for 3rd grade to see what your students know coming into the school year.

This an outline/example of a small mini lesson used for adding with regrouping. It uses the Pear Deck add-on on Google Drive.

Pear Deck is an add-on for Google Slides that allows you to create interactive Google Slides for you and your students to use. I use them for a mini lesson whenever I am teaching/review content in math. It allows you to create slides that have different ways of interacting with them. You can monitor what the students are doing from the teach dashboard, lock their screens to keep it from being a distraction, and save the work that the students do on the Pear Deck to use it for reflection or even formative assessments.

In the slide it includes adding with the "home" method. This is just what I have called adding with base 10 blocks for my students.

For Math, the questions are focused on base 10, place value, addition, subtraction, Geometry/Measurement & Data, and Word Problems.
