This Jeopardy game is a review of Math content in 2nd grade. The categories include Base 10, Place Value, Addition, Subtraction, Geometry/Measurement & Data, and Word Problems. It is completely interactive. No need to scroll through all the slides, you just click on the points for whatever category that you like and it will take you right to the question.

This would be a great product for a review at the end of the year for 2nd grade, practice during summer school, and even a pre-assessment for 3rd grade to see what your students know coming into the school year.

You will need to have a scorekeeper, and I would recommend splitting students up into teams of 4. I hope you enjoy this product. Please rate and review.

This an outline/example of a small mini lesson used for adding with regrouping. It uses the Pear Deck add-on on Google Drive.

Pear Deck is an add-on for Google Slides that allows you to create interactive Google Slides for you and your students to use. I use them for a mini lesson whenever I am teaching/review content in math. It allows you to create slides that have different ways of interacting with them. You can monitor what the students are doing from the teach dashboard, lock their screens to keep it from being a distraction, and save the work that the students do on the Pear Deck to use it for reflection or even formative assessments.

In the slide it includes adding with the "home" method. This is just what I have called adding with base 10 blocks for my students.

This bundle includes two Jeopardy games for 2nd grade. 1 ELA and 1 Math game. For ELA, the questions are focused on phonics, reading/writing, parts of speech, and content vocabulary. For Math, the questions are focused on base 10, place value, addition, subtraction, Geometry/Measurement & Data, and Word Problems.

Both of these Jeopardy games are completely interactive, so you can click on all the points to go to the questions, and other parts to return back to the board and see the answer. You will need to have someone keep score for the games. I hope you enjoy it. Please rate and review!

Engaging practice involving place value:

Students enjoy this practice concerning decimal place value. This pirate themed activity has students rounding to tenths and hundredths, ordering decimal numbers, and multiply by powers of ten using exponents. These supporting skills are important for students to master in order to be successful in higher level math.

My students found this activity a fun, quick review of these skills to complete before moving onto deeper operations with decimals.

2 Digit Addition No Regrouping with Base 10 Blocks for Google Slides

This resource includes 38 interactive Google slides, 4 printable worksheets, and Easel Ready Activity for students to practice adding double digit numbers without regrouping. This math center uses the place value strategy of base 10 blocks to practice solving addition problems with 2 digit addends up to 100. 

The interactive slides allow students to drag moveable base-10 blocks into the tens and ones place to model the addition problem. 

The resource also includes a blank worksheet template as well as a blank slides template to create additional problems for your students!

The slides and worksheets are divided into two differentiated levels. The first resource allows students to practice adding double digit numbers with sums up to 50 and the second resource allows students to practice adding double digit numbers with sums from 50-100. Each slideshow contains a video link that models how to add double digit numbers using base-10 blocks.

The interactive slides allow students to drag moveable base-10 blocks into the hundreds, tens, and ones place to model the addition problem. Students can practice regrouping 10 ones for 1 ten and 10 tens for 1 hundred using the base-10 blocks. This is a great visual hands-on activity to help students conceptually understand how to regroup numbers so they can be successful with the standard algorithm. It’s best to introduce subtraction with regrouping using concrete manipulatives related to place value such as base 10 blocks. Using base 10 blocks is an effective way to support students in developing a conceptual understanding of subtraction because they are able to see the value of each digit in the number. This visual model helps students understand the regrouping process of exchanging 1 ten for 10 ones or 1 hundred for 10 tens.

Let your students practice while having fun with this engaging no-prep and self-checking place value activity. Students will solve 20 problems (5 digits, with decimals) using Google Sheets. I used it as a sub-plan in sixth grade and the kids loved it. As they correctly answer the questions a mystery picture will be revealed.
