This is a perfect resource for the holidays! The 12 days of activities is perfect for a no prep easy activity each day during the holidays. The activities include: a holiday brainstorm, opinion writing about you favorite traditions, holiday Haikus, creating an ad, creating a holiday picture using quadrilaterals and triangles, writing multiplication word problems, writing letters, making words, elapsed time, creative writing, multiplication and more.

All the activities, except one, are no prep. All you need to do is print them off and use them. The one activity that isn't, you will need construction paper and that is all! This activity was one I did when I first started teaching yoga to children. When I noticed how mystified the children were with the holiday season, a colleague of mine suggested pairing a pose with each of the 12 Days of Christmas. You can play the song alone, you can sing the song as you do the poses, or you can practice the poses one at a time and simply enjoy the song afterward. 

It’s super fun to try to remember which pose goes with which verse and to have the children attempt to teach it back in order.

If you’re concerned about this material not being secular, use caution. This is best practiced in environments where mentioning and celebrating Christmas is welcomed.
