When it comes to writing, suggesting prompts can be extremely helpful for students. As students are learning the difference between singular and plural nouns, coming up with sentences using those nouns is our next step. My students love booklets of any kind that they can refer back to. Once they have come up with their sentences, they will include pictures that they print and cut out, draw pictures freehand, or find pictures in a magazine that they can add to each page of the booklet to connect with what they wrote about. This gives students the opportunity to connect what they are learning about in the classroom with their own personal interests.
