Commas: No Prep Test Prep - Grammar/Revising & Editing for English/ELA
By Blooming Through High School
I spent two weeks teaching my students revising skills explicitly before it hit me... all the answer choices had SOMETHING to do with knowing how to use a comma!
It's an area where students feel the least confident and it can be fixed. Before your students go into a test or a state exam, make sure they know how to use a comma.
INCLUDED: 13 self-grading Google Form Quizzes, Word Doc, PDF!
BUNDLE and SAVE: ELA Test Prep, Study Guide & Activities Bundle

For children with greater ease when it comes to tracing the hidden words, I'd use the "Find and write" resource, while for the rest, I would opt for the "Find, circle, and trace" resource.
You will find three PDF files with three different font sizes of the hidden words for children with problems seeing words due to their visual ability. Use the one that suits each child or your group best. The two smaller ones will require the use of a magnifying glass, but most will be able to read the larger one without using it.

"The Napping House" Literacy Integration Lesson Plan
By Lara Hocheiser
Move and breathe through a childhood classic. The Napping House by Don and Audrey Wood has been a favorite story in my classes for years, and with a librarian’s suggestion, I brought it to life through yoga for the first time in 2012. Now accompanied by our beautiful illustrations, we can use this yoga sequence to promote a lifelong love of learning, reading, and healthy habits.
Each of the characters in the story is paired with a yoga pose, and each page adds another character in order. As the sequence builds, the poses come together in a beautiful flow. Do the poses as you read, or read and then do the poses—whatever feels the best to you.
This lesson plan is a perfect resource for teachers, parents or clinicians who want bring the story to life with movement. We’ve included a story script and a list of poses so children can learn the yoga sequence.
The Napping House Literacy Integration is a 14-page PDF download that you can view on your phone, tablet, computer or print to paper.
This download contains the following:
The Napping House Lesson Plan designed for kids ages 4-10
List of yoga poses, props and key themes that relate to the story
Story script to read along with The Napping House
Guided relaxation, meditation script, crafts, and group activities
The Napping House yoga sequence poster, with nine (9) poses
With love from my heart and my team to you!

Phonemic Awareness Cards R-Controlled Vowels
By K3 Homeschool Foundations
Let's be honest, phonemic awareness can be SO boring for our students! Whenever we are working on it they want to use the words in sentences or want to see a picture of what that word means! Now they have a picture to connect to the word!
These cards are so much fun my students beg me to work with them! I let them choose their manipulative; whether it is play-dough to tap, legos, chips, or blocks! This also gives those kiddos struggling with blending and segmenting a concrete method to gain those skills!
The cards are broken into each vowel so that you can easily practice phonemic awareness with the vowel you are working on. You can also mix them up so they can practice the skill for each vowel!
-Includes
-vowels; ar,or,er,ur,ir
-R-controlled vowel words with a picture
-Sound boxes on the front
-The word and amount of sounds on the back for self-correction!
By K3 Homeschool Foundations
Handwriting improves a student's ability to recall information, make connections between different concepts, and synthesize information in new ways!
My handwriting book includes:
When a student can produce the letters correctly and quickly, they will use less brain power when writing words and sentences!

Adaptive Books for Early Item Naming & Identification - for special education
By Until the Pieces Fit
Are you in search of effective materials to facilitate the foundational stages of item naming and identification for learners? This set comprises four distinct topics, each thoughtfully designed to provide optimal support during the learning process. With three progressive levels of difficulty for each topic, including errorless tasks, choices of 3, and choices of 8, our Adaptive Books are a versatile resource catering to diverse learning needs.
Print & Go Practice Worksheets: Complementing the adaptive books, each topic includes print-and-go practice worksheets. These worksheets allow learners to reinforce their understanding through independent practice. The combination of interactive books and practice worksheets ensures a well-rounded learning experience.
The Errorless Books introduce students to the item they are learning. Students are then provided an "I see" statement & have two pages for demonstrating understanding. Students are asked to point to the item & to circle the object. These are intended to be either printed and used or printed laminated & expo markers.
Choice of 3: The books with a choice of 3 follow the same format as the Errorless book; however, when asked to point to / circle the item, they have a selection of 3 items. These are intended to be either printed and used or printed laminated & expo markers.

Winter Adapted Books (4 Interactive & adaptive books matching, clothing, & more
By Until the Pieces Fit
Adaptive Books with a theme of winter cover fun topics, such as colors, activities, and clothing. These books require some prep work; however, once made, you can use them year after year!
These adaptive books are created with various students in mind, as our classrooms can be diverse! I have also found even my most reluctant readers are more eager to participate in learning activities when I pull out interactive activities such as these books. While the books have eight icons to use as choices, you can adapt by providing less when reading and asking follow-up questions.
Book 1: Wintertime Fun
Students will listen to a short story using repetitive text paired with actions. The sentence will read, "In the winter, I like to...". After reading the sentences, have students select the correct action: sledding, ice hockey, snow angels, snowboarding, riding a ski lift, snowy nights, ice skating & building a snowman.
Book 2: Colorful Winter
Students will listen to a story with repetitive text ("I see a") and identify the item. The items are focused on winter items. An excellent book for practicing color recognition.
Book 3: Clothing we wear
I have provided two levels with a focus on the clothing we wear. The first level is supported with a corresponding picture so students can match the items. The second level is only words.
Book 4: Snow Day
This short story concerns the school being called off due to too much snow. There are ten interactive pages in this book.
