In Task 1 students will read an informational text about Tutankhamun and then find their way through a maze by answering true or false comprehension questions. If they answer the questions correctly they will reveal their first word.

In Task 2 students will complete a crossword puzzle by answering ten questions. Answering these questions correctly will reveal some hidden letters which need to be unscrambled to reveal the second word.

In Task 3 students will sort 27 timeline task cards about the ancient civilization, putting them in order from the earliest date to the most recent. When they have finished their third word will be revealed.

In Task 4 students will have to find the missing words in a wordsearch puzzle before finding a hidden word from the letters that are left over in the puzzle. This hidden word is their fourth and final word. All of the BOOM Cards™ activities are self-marking.

Make learning about the thirteen colonies fun with this engaging, hands-on task card escape room. This activity includes 16 task cards that are broken down into 4 levels or puzzle types, giving students a chance to practice nonfiction reading comprehension skills while actively decoding puzzles.

Lead your students to discover information about the 13 colonies of Colonial America by exploring it on their own before teaching or have them use it to review information. Students will answer questions that can be found directly in their reading passage, so there is no prior knowledge needed.

Here's what you'll get:

• two-page reading comprehension passage
• 16 task cards
• student recording sheet
• 4 decoder puzzles

Students will revisit the nonfiction text multiple times, practicing reading comprehension and critical thinking skills as they rotate around the room decoding puzzles. A great digital research and sorting activity that is perfect for introducing students to all of the Presidents of the United States throughout history, from the very first - George Washington, to the present president, Joe Biden. Great for class work, distance learning or home schooling. There are 45 posters or task cards featuring all of the U.S. Presidents.

The research and sorting activity is differentiated into two levels: with dates and without dates. Lower level students can sort the events using the dates, whilst higher level students can research the dates online before sorting the timeline.
