A BOOM Cards™ Escape Room Activity about the history and traditions of Christmas around the world. The self-marking, NO PREP activity is ideal for distance learning and perfect for students in fifth grade or sixth grade.
The activity has been split into four different tasks; your students will need to complete each of the tasks to reveal a word. Together the four words make a phrase for them to escape the room.

For first time BOOM Card™ users, the resource comes with an explanation of how to assign the cards to your class, and has lots of useful links to support you using the activity.
In Task 1 students will read an informational text about Christmas and then find their way through a maze by answering true or false comprehension questions. If they answer the questions correctly they will reveal their first word.
In Task 2 students will complete a crossword puzzle by answering ten questions. Answering these questions correctly will reveal some hidden letters which need to be unscrambled to reveal the second word.
In Task 3 students will sort 27 timeline task cards about famous holidays, putting them in order from the earliest date in the year to the latest. When they have finished, their third word will be revealed.
In Task 4 students will have to find the missing words in a wordsearch puzzle before finding a hidden word from the letters that are left over in the puzzle. This hidden word is their fourth and final word. All of the BOOM Cards™ activities are self-marking.

Are your students struggling to stay engaged in practicing multiplication and division with Christmas coming up in December? This digital Christmas math escape game focuses on multiplication, multiplying by multiples of 10, division, and multiplication and division word problems.
Prep is quick and easy... just share the link in present mode with your class or put it up on the smartboard and get started!
The game starts with a home page of 10 locked objects. Students will answer three questions at a time to unlock each object for a total of 30 review questions. There are also three ribbons for them to earn along the way, keeping them engaged with the desire to earn all of the ribbons.
