What grade level:

I personally use these texts with Grade 1 and Grade 2 students in French Immersion. I feel confident that students from Kindergarten to Grade Three will find these most useful and teachers can come back to the texts with any students who may be experiencing challenges in their French reading skills. Core French teachers will be sure to add the resource to their repertoire for Grades 4 to 6 as they learn to read and write at the Junior level.

Each label takes up 1/12 of a page so they are nice and big, but not too obtrusive. There are 118 flashcards for a total of 10 pages (12 cards per page). Check out the preview to see what it looks like. They each feature the Chinese name of the animal and to help aid meaning, I've included beautiful illustrations.

Also, I'm open to suggestions about other words to add to this set.

CKLA follows the Science of Reading. Many schools are moving to the Science of Reading and adopting curricula like CKLA however not purchasing printable resources. The Superhero Accelerated Reader Points Hanging Chart is a fun and decorative way for students to tract their AR points! Write each child’s name on a clothespin and clip it on the side or bottom of the chart (pencil’s eraser). As they make progress they can move their stick up to the points they have reached. Included are many different charts with points ranging to 100. Charts display number patterns counting by one’s and two’s- up to 50 and 100. Set your students’ goals where you want them.
