In the picture clue set, students look at the picture of the word and then find the corresponding word to color. In the word clue set, students have the CVC word to look at and find the matching word to color in the puzzle. No prep! Just print and go.

How to Play

Where's Cupid? is a game for centers or whole group instruction where Cupid is hidden behind a Valentine heart. A poem is chanted where the student(s) must say the letter they think Cupid is behind. Once guessed, the letter is removed. If Cupid is behind the heart, then he must be hidden again to play further. If Cupid is not behind the heart, then the poem is chanted again and a new letter is guessed. This game has letters in both capital and lowercase forms.

Don’t Eat Pete is a fun game for kids of all ages! Use Conversation Hearts (or any other favorite snack) to put on each of the 8 spaces on the game board. One child is then sent out of the room while the others decide which space/cupid is “Pete” and then the child returns to class to pick one snack at a time until they get to “Pete” and the kids yell out “Don’t Eat Pete!”. 2. Students move to the side of the room that they intend to defend.
3. An embedded timer will be set for 5 minutes, and the debate will start between the two groups.
4. Students attempt to keep contributions to less than 30 seconds each.
5. A new prompt is displayed and we start another round of quick debates.
