John Muir quotes about nature, camping, hiking, traveling, and exploring a set of coloring bookmarks/cards. End of the year student gifts, camp craft, or an early finisher activity.
These could be used as a craft in lessons about ecology, conservation, and other environmental studies, done as a craft at a summer camp, nature-themed party, and just as a relaxing coloring activity.
For best results print them on thick cardstock paper.

Habitat Centers and Activities for The Rain Forest

This packet focuses on learning about the different kinds of animals that live in the rain forest. It will make a great supplement for any rain forest unit! It can be a simple packet for talking about the animals in general or you can go further by learning about the animals in the Amazon vs. the African Jungle.
Pages 3-5 – These pages are for sorting animals for the African Jungle and the Amazon rain forest. Combine these sorting cards with other sets to sort between different habitats.
Pages 6-13 – The pages are for drawing pictures of different kinds of rain forest and drawing animals that live there. Student will write the names for the animals they draw. There are pages for the tropical rain forests, the jungle, the African Jungle and the Amazon. Each type of rain forest has 2 pages with different writing lines.
Pages 14-21 – These are poster pages for each type of rain forest. There is a set of posters that include the animal names and a set that do not.
Pages 22-27 – These are clip cards for telling whether the animals live in the African Jungle or the Amazon. Cards are included with and without the animal names.
Page 28 – This is a memory/concentration game. Print this sheet twice and cut them out to make the game!
Pages 29-32 – Available in color and in black and white, these are rain forest picture cards. They can be used with page 33/34 as sorting mats or you can hang them for reference in your room. You can also combine these from other sets to create a habitat book.
Pages 33-34 – Available in color and in black and white, they are small animal cards to use to sort on the rain forest mats.
Pages 35-42 – True and False task cards with answer sheet and answer key.
Pages 43 – Non-fiction informative story
Page 44-45 – Instructions for a rain forest habitat box.
Habitat Centers and Activities for The Forest

This packet provides activities and centers about the different kinds of animals and trees that live in the forest. It can be a simple packet for talking about the animals and plants in general or you can go further by learning about the plants in the coniferous forest verses the plants that live in the deciduous forest. Pages 3-5 – These pages are a sorting activity where students can sort the animals and plants according to whether they are in a deciduous forest or a coniferous forest. Combine this sorting set with those from other Habitat sets for more sorting options. Pages 6-13 – The pages are for drawing pictures of different kinds of forests and drawing animals that live there. Student will write the names for the animals they draw. There are pages for forests, woodlands, the Amazon and the African jungle. Each type of forest has 2 pages with different writing lines. Pages 14-19 – These are poster pages for each type of forest and the plants and animals that live there. Pages 20-23 – These are clip cards for telling whether the animals live in the woodlands or the rain forest. The cards are available with and without the animal names Page 24 – This is a memory/concentration game. Print this sheet twice and cut them out to make the game! Pages 25-32 – Available in color and in black and white, these are forest picture cards. You can use these to hang around the room for reference or combine them with other Habitat sets to make sorting mats. You can also combine these from other sets to create a habitat book. Pages 33-34 – Available in color and in black and white, they are small animal cards to use to sort on the forest mats. Pages 35-36 – Clip Cards where you clip whether the tree or parts of trees are found in a coniferous forest or a deciduous forest. Page 37 – Owl Crafts Page 38 – Factual Reading Page and Simple coloring activity. Page 39 – Deciduous and Coniferous Forest page: Color the pictures that are found in the deciduous forest yellow and in the coniferous forest green. Pages 40-47 – True and False Task cards with recording page and answer key.
