Practice ending digraphs and trigraphs: -sh, -ch, -ng, and -tch with this color by endings. Two colors are listed to give students freedom to choose between the two colors and/or use both creating some pleasant designs. This would also be a great resource to have students cut out and hang around the room/bulletin board to display students work in the room.

This is a crossword puzzle to go along with the book, The Lorax. It includes 12 words that are in the Lorax, and the hints are comprehension and/or background knowledge questions about the book and events in the book. This is a fun quick activity to go along with Dr. Seuss's Green Eggs and Ham. Students will try to persuade their audience to like their favorite food by using adjectives. I used it to go along with a lesson for Author's purpose and a review of adjectives.

This is a cut and paste activity for students to practice prepositional phrases. Students will need to cut the preposition out of the lists given and then paste it into the correct sentence. Then they will circle the prepositional phrase in the sentence.

This would be a great "Check for Understanding" activity or even a quick assessment.
