⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻
These resources are great for:

  • Distance learning

  • Independent work

  • Homework

  • Guided reading sessions

  • Assessment practice

  • Reading interventions

  • Emergency sub plans

These activities are online resources, that use Google Forms, and are linked to your Google Drive. They can be completed by students online using tablets, phones or computers, and are easily assessed by teachers as all the answers are provided in a quick and easy format.

⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻⎻

Time allowance to complete:
5-10 minutes - read through the text individually.
40-50 minutes - answer questions using the text as guidance (including extension activity)

Time allowance to assess:
A class set of activities might take around 15-20 minutes to mark; the teacher can then send the students their marks automatically, which allows them to read back through their work. Nearly all answers are not automatically generated, but only require a small amount of work to assign points. This is because the aim is to get students writing answers and not to just have multiple choice options.

Please ensure when you download this resource into Google Drive that you are logged in to the gmail account where you wish to store the activity. In the past teachers have downloaded resources into their school account in error. Thanks :)

Mindfulness is the practice of purposely focusing your attention on the present moment—and accepting it without judgment. It is a concept that can be used to support and strengthen students’ social and emotional skills and development. Teaching mindfulness in the classroom can lead to positive outcomes including improving students' well-being, reducing their stress levels, focusing students' attention on what's important, encouraging self-regulation, and improving behavior.

This detailed lesson, PowerPoint presentation, and activities are designed to help students understand the concept of mindfulness and practice it wherever they are!

▶️ In-depth Lesson Plan (Step-by-step)

✅ This resource includes a detailed, step-by-step lesson plan that helps you teach mindfulness in a fun and engaging manner. It focuses on teaching students what mindfulness means, how it can be practiced, and why it’s beneficial.

✅ This full Mindfulness Lesson Plan Packet also contains a variety of engaging activities to enhance students’ understanding of the concept of mindfulness. Students will have opportunities to practice mindfulness right in their own classrooms. All the worksheets for the activities are included with ANSWER KEYS!

✅ In addition, an editable lesson plan version is also included, so you can modify and tailor it in such a way that meets the needs of your students.

✅ Activity worksheets are also included in Google Slides! (Print and Digital versions)

▶️ TWO PowerPoints (33 slides / with and without background paper)

✅ This resource includes a PowerPoint (33 slides) that covers the entire lesson plan (from start to finish). The PowerPoint slides are visually appealing, contain creative clip arts and fonts, and do not contain too much text – making the information easy to comprehend and absorb.

✅ The images appeal to diverse populations.

✅ PowerPoints are uneditable due to copyright purposes. There are TWO PowerPoints that include the SAME content, but one contains background paper and one doesn't. You choose which one you prefer to use!

✅ BOTH PowerPoint versions are also included in google slides!

✅ One extra blank slide with background paper is included for you to generate your own content and include it in the PowerPoint!

▶️ Mindfulness Article, Teacher Notes, Question Worksheets, and ANSWER KEYS

(The article has already been annotated for you in the color red to help you facilitate discussion and questions.) 5 Bulletin Board Task Display Pages (for each question worksheet)

★ ANSWER KEY (very detailed!)

*********************************

This bundle focuses on CHAPTERS 1 - 22 and Conclusion of We Beat The Street. EACH Chapter Packet features 5 inference-based questions that require students to demonstrate inferential thinking and a deep analysis of the chapter - beyond literal comprehension. Each inference-based question can be treated as an extended response where students must make inferences and support their responses, ideas, and/or analysis with evidence from the text.

► There is a "combo" worksheet, which includes all five questions on two pages. There are also 5 separate worksheets that include the same questions on a different worksheet. This allows for more extensive responses. You can have students either complete all five inference-based questions on the "combo" worksheet all at once OR you can have students complete each of the questions at different times: for classwork, independent practice, homework, or formative assessment - your choice! You can even give students different questions depending on their levels - excellent for differentiation.

► I also included a blank worksheet for you to generate your own question and students write it in the box!

► A detailed ANSWER KEY for the questions have been included. The ideas and evidence in the Answer Keys are accompanied by page numbers to help you facilitate discussion more smoothly and navigate to important ideas and events without looking for the information in the book. The Answer Keys are so comprehensive that you can even develop additional questions that will encourage students to engage in productive classroom talk!

► A 2-Point rubric is included for scoring with a section for comments and feedback at the bottom. Finally, there are five visually appealing Bulletin Board Task Display Pages to display with student work. The Bulletin Board Task Display Pages are personalized for each question worksheet! You have everything you need to score these assignments and display on bulletin boards immediately upon completion. It's a great way to showcase student work!

► This entire bundle is also included in Google Slides! Text boxes have already been created to make it easier for you and your students! Each slide includes two instruction solution tabs for when students accidentally delete text boxes and when they want to zoom in (to enlarge worksheets). It's super helpful for students who are not that familiar with how to use Google Slides or need the extra assistance.

Toxic and inconsiderate behaviors involve creating drama, dragging people down, manipulating or controlling others, being needy and making it all about you, using others to meet your personal needs, and being critical and judgmental of one’s self and others. These toxic and inconsiderate behaviors ultimately lead to negative effects including, but not limited to, holding people back from being happy, peaceful, and productive, causing unwelcoming feelings like stress, anger, depression, and sadness, which ultimately can harm one’s health, affect relationships, and overall sense of well-being. For example, students are asked to think about the most likely reasons why the people in the scenarios may be portraying negative, toxic and inconsiderate behaviors, attitudes, and habits and how they can deal with or navigate through these situations effectively.

By understanding the root causes for toxic behaviors, attitudes, and habits, students can practice building their social awareness and empathy skills and respond appropriately, rather than in such a way that can cause potential problems.

These Task Cards contain the same scenarios in the Scenario Worksheets.

✅ You can print the Task Cards out on gloss paper or regular paper and laminate. You may also organize them in a binder ring.

How/When To Use the Scenario Task Cards

ROLEPLAYS:

The scenarios presented offer students valuable opportunities to engage in discussions, gain insights, and participate in role-playing exercises aimed at navigating toxic interactions effectively. Students can work collaboratively in pairs or groups, utilizing task cards and worksheets to enact different scenarios and demonstrate appropriate responses. Through these role-playing activities, students not only demonstrate how to handle challenging situations but also learn effective communication strategies. Moreover, they are exposed to a range of coping mechanisms to successfully manage conflicts.

These exercises serve as practical avenues for students to practice and acquire skills in comprehending others' perspectives, filtering their thoughts, responding with maturity, and communicating effectively. By engaging in these activities, students can enhance their confidence, communication proficiency, and assertiveness skills.

Overall, the role-playing approach provides a comprehensive and interactive way for students to develop crucial life skills necessary for navigating interpersonal challenges.

Social cues and** body language** are everywhere we look—often communicating more than words ever could. A raised eyebrow, crossed arms, a quick glance, or even silence can completely change the meaning of what’s being said. For students, the ability to recognize and correctly interpret these unspoken signals is an essential life skill. It helps them respond appropriately in conversations, build stronger relationships, and avoid misunderstandings.

This bundle combines two powerful resources to give middle and high school students multiple ways to practice reading, interpreting, and responding appropriately to social cues in a safe, structured way. Students will strengthen their social awareness, observation, inference, and communication skills through a mix of image-based analysis, real-world scenarios, and activities that explore various social cues—such as facial expressions, gestures, posture, tone of voice, personal space, and eye contact.

Detailed **Answer Keys **and Sample Responses are included, making these activities completely no-prep. Teachers can easily facilitate meaningful discussions and model strong, thoughtful answers without additional planning.

Skills Students Will Build:

**▶️ **Recognizing and understanding social cues and their multiple meanings within context
**▶️ **Observing and describing key details in nonverbal communication
**▶️ **Thinking critically about social situations and possible interpretations
**▶️ **Responding effectively and empathetically to others
**▶️ **Strengthening communication skills for both school and real-life settings

This resource contains 45 Bullying Activity Worksheets designed to challenge the way young people think and understand bullying. Students will reflect on their own experiences with bullying and analyze the experiences of others while also exploring strategies they can use to combat bullying in the future. The variety of exercises encourages students to think in a number of different ways, catering to all learning styles and ages.

Detailed Answer Keys are included to help you facilitate discussions and learning!

Many of the worksheets also include real-life bullying scenarios, which students can use to think through responses and solutions and determine how they would handle bullying situations. Students can have meaningful reflections and education on how to handle difficult social situations that are common for many teens. You can encourage students to read the scenarios and decide how they should respond, explain why they would choose that response, and think about the impact that response would have on those involved. After the role play, educators can lead a discussion about what happened and how the students felt. Answering debriefing questions reinforces the lessons learned from the scenarios and activities and also help to process any emotional responses prompted by the experience.
