Recording sheets for your students to use while they are using microscopes to make observations. One set of sheets has spaces for your students to draw a picture that they see with the microscope. This is available with and without directions (Preview pages 1 and 2) The other set of sheets has space for your students to draw what the specimen looks like with just their eyes and using the microscope to compare the differences.

Using these science phenomena digital-ready photos are a great way to introduce many of the NGSS. There are 17 different photos; with at least one per standard. The standards are listed at the top of each sheet. Pick and choose what you want. Using this strategy with students creates a routine way of thinking. It requires them to observe, think, and wonder!
