Why do you need this?

This is such a simple activity that can be utilized in so many ways!

• Have your students write a paragraph about why they chose what they did.
• Have your students move from one side of the room to another when making their selection to incorporate a sensory/movement break into your day.
• Have your students find a new friend who picked the same thing they did, or pick a partner who didn't pick what they did and have them discuss why they chose their answers.
• Have your students debate over why one choice is better than another; make sure they defend their answers (and keep it friendly).

The Writing Activity 3D Snow Globe Craft is perfect for students in elementary and special education programs! This craft provides a fun way to encourage students to practice writing in a winter setting, while also reinforcing key concepts in language arts, ELA, and figurative language. This activity is also a great writing center tool! Students will love easily creating their own personalized snow globe with this craft.

Includes

• Two versions of writing paper (regular lines and primary writing lines with dashes)
• Two "title" pages: "If I were Stuck in a Snow Globe" and "My Day Inside a Snow Globe"
• A blank snow globe page for illustrations
• Ideas for differentiation for students who need extra support AND ideas for students who need an extra challenge

Based on ability level, students can use the single tens frame and the number cards to represent a given number using manipulatives. Students who are ready for more of a challenge can roll dice to create an addition problem and use the tens frames to represent and solve the addition problem using manipulatives.

Groundhog Day Color by CVC Word puzzles covering short a, e, i, o, and u word families. Each color by word puzzle features 4 to 6 CVC words for a vowel family in two difficulty levels for 10 puzzles total. I've included both a picture clue set and a word clue set. In the picture clue set, students look at the picture of the word and then find the corresponding word to color. In the word clue set, students have the CVC word to look at and find the matching word to color in the puzzle. No prep! Just print and go.

Short e - ten, web, men, den, gem

Short i - pin, rib, pig, fin, bin

Short o - hop, cob, mop, dog, hot
