Today in History Daily Warm-Up Instructions:
Image Observation:
Display a historical image related to the day's date or a significant event in history.
Instruct students to carefully observe the details in the image without providing any background information.
Individual Inference:
Ask students to individually jot down their inferences about what they think might be happening in the image.
Encourage them to consider details such as clothing, setting, facial expressions, and any other relevant visual cues.
Partner Discussion:
Pair up students and have them share their individual inferences with their partners.
Prompt partners to discuss and compare their interpretations, encouraging them to consider different perspectives.
Collaborative Inference:
Bring the class back together and facilitate a collaborative discussion.
Select a few pairs to share their inferences with the entire class.
Encourage students to consider diverse interpretations and discuss any common themes or differences in their observations.
Historical Context:
After the collaborative discussion, provide some historical context or information about the image.
Discuss how the actual events align or differ from the students' inferences.

Road to the American Revolution

This resource goes beyond having students simply take notes and restate the different causes leading to the American Revolutionary War. A unique lesson designed to have students participate in the learning process by continually drawing inferences and predictions of how each causal factor worked to increase the tensions between the colonies and Britain. An interactive & discussion based Slide Presentation will encourage students to delve deeper into their analysis.
Two choices of hands-on summative activities;
- Creating a ‘Loop’ diagram' (web) that will serve to identify the causal factors and how they interconnect with each other.
OR
- Creating an ‘Unjust-O-Meter’. Students will rate which of the causal factors were the most unjust to the colonists. Each group will defend and present their decisions to their classmates.

Deaf Education ASL & English Singular & Plural (Add -es) Nouns Workbook

In this product, students will learn the English vocabulary word and the sign for the 40 different singular and plural nouns (add es) vocabulary words.
Students will learn the difference between the singular and plural nouns presented and will see how they are used in sentences. Signs and pictures for each of the nouns are provided to help the students understand their meanings.
In the first section of this product, students will review that when singular nouns end in s, x, ch, sh, or z, an es is added on the end of them to make them plural. Students will then be provided with a singular and plural nouns sign language dictionary that includes the singular and past tense of the same noun on each page, a sentence using each singular and plural noun, a picture that helps explain each sentence that is provided, and the sign for each noun.
In the second section of this product, students will be provided with a sentence, the singular and plural noun on each page, the sign, and a picture describing each given sentence. Students will be required to fill in the missing noun that goes along with each sentence and picture provided. Students will also choose 14 nouns (present or past) and create a sentence using each one.
In the third section of this product, students will use the sign and picture provided for each singular and plural noun to make up a sentence.

In this product, students will learn the sign and English vocabulary word for the different sports 48 vocabulary words presented.
This product can be used with students who are learning English and sign language. It can serve as an in class practice, review, or quiz.
In the first section of the product, students will learn the English word, the sign of the sports vocabulary item, and will be able to write the name of the item in their native language. A picture is also included to represent each sports vocabulary word. At the end of this section, students will answer comprehension questions that relate with the sports vocabulary words that were learned in this product.
In the second section of the product, there is a dictionary provided that includes the English word, the sign, and a picture showing the sports vocabulary words presented.
In the third section of the product, students can review what they learned based on the sign and picture that are included for each word provided. Students will then be required to write the English word on the each line.

In this product, students will learn the English vocabulary word for the 50 different money vocabulary words presented. Students will initially write each vocabulary word in their native language after learning the English word and being shown a picture. At the end of this section, students will have the opportunity to choose 11 money vocabulary words and make up a sentence using each one. Students will also be provided with comprehension sentences regarding money vocabulary words that were presented.
In the second section of the product, there is a money vocabulary review that requires students to write the English word and the word in the student's native language based on the picture and sentence provided for each money vocabulary word.
In the third section of the product, there is a money vocabulary review that requires students to make up a sentence for each money vocabulary word learned in their native language.
In the fourth section of this product, students will then be required to write the English money vocabulary word and make up a sentence in English.
Money vocabulary words that are included in this product include words such as account, allowance, balance, wallet, money, change denominations, broke cash, dollar, etc. to help students learn how to count money, add money, subtract money, use money when buying items they want and need, where they can go to get money, what documents they may need to deposit or withdraw money.

This product can be used with students who are learning English and/or sign language. It can serve as an in class practice, review, or quiz.
In the first section of the product, students will learn the English word, the sign of each contraction, and the contraction is used in a sentence. Students will be able to write the name of each contraction in their native language. A picture is also included to represent each contraction and support each given sentence.
In the second section of the product, there is a dictionary provided that includes the English word, the sign, and a picture showing each contraction.
In the third section of the product, students can review what they learned based on the sign, sentence, and picture that are included for each contraction provided. Students will then be required to write the vocabulary word in English. At the end of this section, students will have the opportunity to choose 11 contractions and make up a sentence using each one. Students will then have the opportunity to answer short comprehension questions about each contraction. Students will then have the opportunity to write the two words that make up each contraction given and fill in the 15 blanks using a key with each missing contraction.
In the fourth section of the product, students can review what they learned based on the sign and picture that are included for each word provided. Students will then be required to make up a sentence using each contraction presented in English. Students will then write the contraction for the given words and will write the two words that make up each given contraction. Students will then use the given contractions to fill in the blanks to complete each given sentence.
In the fifth section of the product, students can review what they learned based on the signs and pictures that are included for each word provided. Students will then be required to make up a sentence using the contractions presented in their native language.

ESL Feelings Vocabulary Workbook and Sentence Review for Newcomers

In this product, students will learn the English vocabulary word for the 64 different feelings vocabulary words presented.
Students will initially write each vocabulary word in their native language after learning the English word and being shown a picture. At the end of this section, students will have the opportunity to choose 8 feeling vocabulary words and make up a sentence using each one. Students will also be provided with comprehension sentences regarding feeling vocabulary words that were presented.
In the second section of the product, there is a feeling vocabulary review that requires students to write the English word and the word in the student's native language based on the picture and sentence provided for each feeling vocabulary word.
In the third section of the product, there is a feeling vocabulary review that requires students to make up a sentence for each feeling vocabulary word learned in their native language.
In the fourth section of this product, students will then be required to write the English feeling vocabulary word and make up a sentence in English.
