This internet activity unit has everything you need for your students to plan a virtual trip to Madrid! Air travel, hotels, shopping, meals, transportation, museums, spectacles, and budge worksheets - you can use them on a stand-alone basis to address different themes, or together as one big unit. Includes a list of websites that will be useful to complete the project. Planning travel is a useful skill for all students but it's also a fun activity to do.

As your students work their way through the activities, they will be learning about different aspects of planning a trip. They will also learn about the city of Madrid and its history and monuments. Each activity addresses a different aspect of trip-planning. Studying **Asian Highway 1 **offers your students a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into the cultural, economic, and geopolitical dynamics of the region. This major transportation route **spans over 14 countries **in Asia, connecting diverse cultures and economies along its path.

By studying** Asian Highway 1**, also called the Great Asian Highway, students can deepen their understanding of the relationships between countries in Asia, as well as the challenges and opportunities that arise from regional cooperation and integration. Additionally, studying this highway provides students with a real-world case study for analyzing the impact of infrastructure development on economic growth, trade relations, and cross-border connectivity. The class will participate in a most interesting facts group activity, followed up with exit cards. This will allow students to learn from each other.

Palestinian & Israeli: One question Two Perspectives

In this ebook you will find ten questions posed twice. One response is from a Palestinian & one from an Israeli. The views are moderate, but perspectives are clearly seen and can provide comparative insights into their respective perspectives. 

By asking these questions to both interviewees, we can compare the nuanced views that exist on either side of the conflict. It is important to approach these conversations with empathy and an open mind, as the answers will reflect deeply held beliefs and experiences shaped by a complex history and challenging realities.

The questions are followed by 10 potential assignments and projects aimed at a grades 9 to 12.

Here is a list of 10 questions that you can ask both a moderate Gazan Palestinian and a moderate Israeli:

2. Personal Impact: In what ways has the conflict directly affected your life and the lives of those closest to you?
3. Security Concerns: How do you perceive the issues surrounding security and safety for your community, and what measures do you believe are necessary to improve them?
4. Political Solutions: What political solution do you envision as being the most fair and sustainable to address the issues of the conflict?
5. Land and Settlements: What is your stance on the issue of land, settlements, and the right of return for refugees?
6. International Role: How do you view the role of international actors, such as the United States or the United Nations, in resolving the conflict?
7. Daily Coexistence: Are there areas of daily life where you see successful coexistence between Israelis and Palestinians, and what can be learned from these examples?
8. Education and Misconceptions: What role do you think education plays in perpetuating or resolving the conflict, and what misconceptions might people on each side have about the other?
9. Economic Factors: How do you believe the conflict has shaped the economic situation for Palestinians and Israelis, and what economic changes would you propose to support peace efforts?
10. Vision for Peace: Can you describe your personal vision for peace and how individuals from both societies can contribute to achieving it?

They get cheese every day!!  I'll be adding more menus weekly as I receive them.  There are so many things a French teacher can do with these in class. I have made five extremely versatile no prep printable worksheets available to use along with any and all of these French school lunch menus. Versions 1 - 4 have ten questions each while version 5 has six questions. The questions on these worksheets will have your students learning a lot about cultural differences concerning menu items as well as the amount of time French students get for lunch, why there's no menu for Wednesday, etc.

• Reading comprehension: Students answer questions in Spanish based on Nico’s story, building skills in understanding authentic-style texts.

• Grammar practice: A focused section on the pluperfect tense (pretérito pluscuamperfecto) helps students understand the tense and gain confidence in using this advanced tense to describe actions that happened prior to other past events.

In "Take it to Mali", introduce your kids to some great music from indigenous instruments from Africa! Using your classroom Djembe or Tubanos, learn the music by rote by taking it one rehearsal section at a time (with rehearsal markings [A], [B], [C], and so forth). This is terrific practice with your older students who want to work on alternating hands

The notation on the first space F is a bass (middle of the drum) and the x notation on the third space C is a tone (four fingers near the rim of the drum, pitched a bit higher)

At the end, wrap it up and put on a show! Want to layer it?

• Have tambourines or shakers play on specified beats (try 2 and 4)
• Have shakers play 16th notes all the way throughout or in specific sections
• Have half the class play 1st and 3rd measures, the other half play 2nd and 4th measures
• Do it in a round! :)
