This is a full unit plan for reading Lord of the Flies by William Golding through a choice of two different lenses: Psychology or Gender. You'll receive the full Unit Plan in a grid format, as well as every assignment for both lenses.

Students will be put in groups according to their chosen lens and will explore a number of resources pertaining to their lens. They'll complete a wide variety of assignments, including a Double Entry Journal, Socratic Seminar, Symbolism Word Splash and Explanation, Theme Formal Essay, and Characterization Creative Situational Writing. The directions and rubric are included for each assignment. Since it's in a Google Doc, it's all ready for you to post and have your students complete digitally, OR you can print it out and have then do it that way, too!

Writing a research report can be a fun and interesting project for your students. This provides them with the opportunity to learn about a topic that interests them and share it with their peers! This packet includes information to share with your students about what a research report is, why do we write a research report, possible topics to write a research report on, what do we share in a research report, and rules to follow when writing a research report. A list of ideas as to where to look for information and tips about what you can find from these sources is also included in this product. This product includes an example of a weak and strong opening paragraph, a list of what makes a great research report, and a guided research report writing structure is also included. An example of three possible writing topics, a completed KWL chart, and a brainstorming chart that will serve as a guide when writing the rough draft of the research report is included in the student packet. An example of a rough draft on rain forests is also provided to help support students and serve as a guide to help them when writing their own rough draft. The Pumpkin Patch Field Trip Unit is part of my Field Trip Unit Series. The series was created with homeschoolers in mind, but can be adapted to be used in a classroom as well. Field trips are a great way to supplement learning, but often homeschoolers don’t get any background information on the location of their field trip and want to enrich their experience by expanding the learning at home before and after the trip. These units help give information and fun activities before and after the field trip.

These units are available in PreK/Kinder, Elementary, and Middle & High School levels. All Pumpkin Patch Field Trip Units follow the same outline and the parent/teacher info sheet is the same for all three so that if you have children of several ages, you can seamlessly teach them together. Are you teaching a Spanish 2 or 3 unit about Travel and Vacations?  Exhausted from creating all of the activities your students need to be successful?  This unit called “Nuestras vacaciones” includes EVERYTHING you need to teach this unit, without a specific textbook! I try to marry performance (being able to communicate on a very specific topic) with proficiency (a person’s overall ability to communicate).

This is a 10-15 day CROSS CURRICULUM lesson! It includes tasks from Math, LA, Science, Art, Social Studies, and more! There are two different videos that I have included.

The scenario: we have to leave Earth because of pollution. Students are part of the New Beginnings Mission and they must settle a colony on a new planet. Tasks include map making, decimal multiplication, scale drawings, team building, geometric drawings, research, measurement conversions, and more. It is presented in PowerPoint format. The first slide is an overview. All worksheets are included as slides that can be printed. There are also instructions included in the notes section of each slide.

Are you wanting to use French comprehensible input in your classes, but:

❖ La France - Advanced French conversation questions about France ❖

Part of our series of "discussions ciblées". List of 35 vocabulary words related to the conversation questions about France. Includes 20 discussion questions. The questions are suitable for upper level and AP French or for middle and high school French immersion. The questions are fun and thought provoking, and interesting discussions will happen! Students probably won't know the answers to a few of the questions, and when they find out they will know a lot more about French culture! You can print the list of words on one side of a page and the questions on the other side so that students can easily refer to the new vocabulary during their conversations. If you make a two sided copy everything will fit on one page.

Also included is a set of speaking cards for students to use prior to using the discussion cards so that they can become familiar with the theme and many new words. The cards just need to be printed and cut out so that your students can use them in pairs or small groups. Each card says, "Décris le mot suivant en français et ton partenaire le devinera." The vocabulary word is written both in French and English since many of the words will be new. This exposure to the vocabulary will make the discussion that follows flow easier. Students will still have easy access to the list of words on the other side of the photocopied questions.

This product was made for students to learn about the 50 states, the spelling of each state, and each state's abbreviation. This product includes slides that are made up of the states that begin with the same letter on each slide, as these states can be confusing. For example: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, and Arkansas as well as their abbreviations so students can see the difference. Slides that show states that don't have any similarities, like Georgia, and states that have two words, like New York, are also addressed.

Each slide is provided with the state name and the abbreviation. Students can attempt to fill in the blanks of the abbreviations that were reviewed on each previous slide as well. This helps students to learn the spelling, abbreviations, and location of each state. This product can be used for students who benefit from having material adapted and it can also be used with students who are on grade level as well.
