I organized it in the following manner: Task Card Scenario numbers correspond with the slang words used in the scenarios. This will allow you to make meaning of slang words being used, so you can get down better with your students! -Lit!

How/When To Use the Scenario Task Cards

• Role-Playing: Students can collaborate in pairs or groups to act out a variety of scenarios and demonstrate appropriate responses. Role-playing activities can also be used to show how skills are used improperly and then asking the 'audience' to help reenact properly. This activity can ultimately improve confidence, communication, and assertiveness skills.
• Icebreaker: This can be a great way to start a meeting, training session, or team-building activity. It’s also a great way to get students to get to know each other and buy into the purpose of an upcoming activity or lesson.
• Play Writing Exercise: Students can work in groups to create skits or scenes then perform the skit for the class.
• Writing Response: Students can be given a scenario to read and then write their responses. Students can switch papers with a partner who then reads their responses and determines whether they agree/disagree with their responses/approaches to these real-life scenarios.
• Discussion: Students can discuss the Scenario Task Cards in groups or whole class. They can discuss things like “What would you do?”, "How can your respectfully handle this situation," “Why would you do that?”, and “What are some other options you could consider?”

Each slide includes two instruction solution tabs to assist students who accidentally delete text boxes and/or when they want to zoom in (to enlarge worksheets). Learning and talking about the LGBTQ+ community is important for our education. Educating students about the LGBTQ+ community can greatly enhance their understanding on how to properly interact and appreciate their fellow peers as well as other people who identify as LGBTQ. Having that knowledge prevents them from judging others. 

This Writing Prompts/Discussion Questions Packet provides opportunities for students to discuss LGBTQ+ issues and understand the importance of diversity. These questions can help students think about their own perspectives, understanding, and experiences with LGBTQ+ issues. These would make great debate questions!

• This resource includes 80 LGBTQ+ related Writing/Discussion Question Task Cards  (both Colored and B&W). You can use the questions/prompts as discussion topics or writing prompts – or BOTH! It’s a great way to spark some interesting conversations about LGBTQ+. You can use the B&W Task Cards to print out on ANY color paper!

• These Task Cards can be used as part of a larger lesson, in guided small groups, whole-class discussions, partner discussion before sharing out with the larger group or class, or even one-on-one with a teacher, guidance counselor, or parent/guardian! These Task Cards contain the same questions in the Worksheets.

• You can print the Task Cards out on gloss paper or regular paper and laminate. You may also organize them in a binder ring.
