Here are THREE Interactive Storyboard Activity Projects: Little Red Hen, Ugly Little Duckling and Town Mouse Country Mouse (City Mouse Country Mouse) My students LOVE doing storyboards and they are a great introduction to basic story elements and summarization. You can use a file folder for sturdiness or a more economical solution of large manila or construction paper.

My Funky First Grade

My students LOVE creating storyboards and they are a wonderful introduction to basic story elements and summarizing. I use colorful file folders or large manila/construction paper. There are illustrations to color and places to list the characters, setting and summary. There are also interactive flaps for writing the beginning, middle and ending. This project is about the birth of Baby Jesus and includes Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus, the Wise Men, a shepherd and a sheep.

These storyboard activities are awesome for introducing basic story elements and summarizing. This unit covers three popular fables: The Tortoise and the Hare, The Boy Who Cried Wolf, and The Lion and the Mouse. There are places to list characters, beginning, middle and ending, definition of a fable and the lesson or moral taught through the fable. I use colorful file folders for the storyboards, but large manila paper is a smart economical choice.
