Allow the students to select a spaghetti word bowl, or the teacher can "order" specific words on fun "Let me take your order" sheets. Perfect for small group instruction or early finishers. Print all sheets and laminate. Cut apart. You can add velcro pieces if you like to keep the metball letters secured to the spaghetti bowls.

The classic game of memory with a fruit and veggie twist! 3 different versions provide several ways to play the game: one set of cards has pictures and words, one has just pictures, and one has just words. Match the fruit or veggie to the word and letter in these puzzles! These cover all of the fruits and vegetables in my Fruit and Vegetables Vocabulary Word Wall Cards. There are two styles of puzzles: one is a two piece puzzle with the picture of the produce one one side and the word for it on the other. The other style is a three piece puzzle with one piece showing the word, one piece showing the picture, and the other piece showing the beginning letter of the produce. There are a total of 82 puzzles featuring 18 fruits and 22 vegetables. These are low prep and need to be laminated, but are full color and ready for literacy centers, early finishers, preschool centers and more. 1st Grade Salt Life

This is a packet of THREE scavenger hunt (write the room) activities. The first is classifying nouns as person, place or thing. The second is finding words that begin with each letter of the alphabet. The last is differentiating between contractions and compound words. Word cards are included which can be laminated and hung around the room. My students love using clipboards to walk around the room and find the words! I also added in a couple of FREEBIE interactive notebook pages on nouns and verbs.

This is a great little nine-page booklet to finish off a great second grade year! This is a digital product designed to be used with Google Classroom or another assignment sharing platform. Students will need to have a gmail account to access this.

Students will come up with a word to represent each letter of the alphabet (each letter has its own slide). The word should have a specific meaning for that year. For example, students will avoid putting general words like “book”, and instead write the specific name of a book read in that grade. That way, they have this to look back on and remember the year! They will write a short description of why the chose the word, and insert an image to go along with the word!

Students can work independently or in groups. Although this is an ABC book, it is appropriate and fun for any grade level! Students will need to get creative to think of words specific to that year.
