Practice sight word reading fluency with these sight word stories. Students will read the stories containing the sight word.

Your students will be engaged in learning sight words by reading these different fluency stories. Each passage focuses on a single sight word so students can get a lot of practice with the target word they are learning.

Practice reading and spelling CVCe words. Students can get practice filling in the missing letters in the magic e words. Print the silent e letter tiles in a different color to show students the E does not make a sound!

This set contains 35 unique CVCe cards where students can complete hands on word work activities. There is a set of cards that focus on beginning sounds, middle sounds, magic e, as well as a set that focuses on spelling the CVCe words.

This is a low prep center where you just need to print, laminate and cut out the cards. You can mark clothespins with the correct letters for students to clip to the cards in the correct space. 1. CVCe Spelling Word Cards - This set of cards contains CVCe words and letter tiles for students to fill the missing letters on the word cards. There are cards for reviewing beginning sounds, long vowels, and spelling the entire word.

2. CVCe Self Checking Word Cards - This set of cards are designed to be an independant center where students practice reading CVCe words. After reading the word, they open the card to check to see if the word was read correctly.

3. CVCe Non-Sense Word Cards - There are two card formats in this product. There are cards in the same form as the Self-Checking cards above where students can use to sort real and non-sense words. These winter sight word spelling cards make a fun winter literacy center for students to enjoy while practicing spelling sight words from the Fry 1-300 word list.

What is Included:

• There is one sight word card for each sight word on the Fry 1-300 sight word list.
• Letter tiles to use while spelling the words.

Each sight word card features a winter hat with the sight word printed on it. Students will use the boxes to the right of the word to spell the sight word on the hat.

When using these cards inside a literacy center, the letter tiles can be used to spell the words, or teachers can provide letter stamps, letter clips, scrabble tiles or other types of letter manipulates for students to use to spell each sight word.

Spell all 220 sight words with this hands on turkey themed sight word spelling activity. This makes a great Thanksgiving themed word work center.

What is included:

One turkey for each sight word.

One feather for each letter used in each sight word in varying colors

How to Use:

Students choose a turkey and then place the feathers in the correct order to spell the word they chose.

This is a collection of sight word games that I created for Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade. Each game, you are catching some sort of animal with the sight words written on them.

**These activities will take some prep. Other materials you will need will be popsicle sticks, glue/tape, and scissors**

Between 1 to 4 students can play this game. To play the game, you will need to lay out the animals with the words facing up. Have students sit or stand beside each other with the nets in their hands, holding them all in the same position (so no one tries to cheat). Then call out a word. Students will race to find and catch the animals with the word on it first. Whichever student catches the animal first, they take that animal and add it to their pile.
