This is a fun way for your students to show what they know about place value. It would be an activity to do once they have finished the unit on place value or a way to practice place value. This hands-on activity lets students create their own house using base ten blocks and then create a street full of place value houses. For added challenge you can add in odd and even and have the students make one side of the street odd and the other even. Exactly what I needed for the start of the school year. The posters are clear, colorful, and easy to read.

Glimmers, which are the opposite of triggers are those moments of pure joy and serenity that light up their lives. I use the materials to share and practice glimmers with my students & after just 3 days back the kids have already started using the term "glimmer" when something brings them joy!

The word Glimmers originates from Deb Dana, LCSW, psychotherapist, and author who coined the term. Glimmers which is the opposite of a trigger are those fleeting instances that bring us warmth and peace, offering a profound positive impact on our mental health. With gratitude & written permission from Deb Dana, I'm thrilled to share these activities with fellow educators!
