Students brainstorm ideas, share their thoughts, and create a structure by using the graphic organizer. The graphic organizer has space for students to write 6 different creative ideas about what it will be like to be 100 years old!
- Writing Paper: The paper includes the prompt "When I am 100 years old". Student will finish this sentence using their ideas from the organizer. Using connector words like and can be utilized in the lesson to combine 2 ideas from the organizer. Example : When I am 100 years old I will have not teeth left and I will always have to use my cane to get around my house.
How to Use:
- Introduce the writing prompts and discuss what 100 year olds look like, sound like and act like
- Provide each student with a copy of the graphic organizer to record their ideas and plan their writing.
- Distribute writing paper and have students create complete sentences using their ideas from the organizer.
- Lastly, students draw a picture of themselves at 100 years old!!
