Birthday Blowout: Interactive Cake and Candle Celebration on PowerPoint

By Ms Garcia Store

Introducing our interactive birthday celebration resource, "Birthday Blowout: Interactive Cake and Candle Celebration." Make every elementary student's birthday extra special with this engaging and customizable activity.

With this resource, you can create an interactive experience where students can virtually blow out candles on a birthday cake. Simply link it to your class calendar, and each day, you can easily navigate to the birthday celebration for that specific day.

Students can choose the number of candles based on their age (ranging from 3 to 11), select the type of cake, and even customize the birthday theme. Whether you're teaching remotely or in the classroom, this resource is compatible with video conferencing platforms and can be used on interactive whiteboards or any device connected to a screen.

Feel free to personalize the resource by changing the Bitmoji on the first and last slide to your own. Don't forget to update the student's name on the last slide before presenting.

Once the cake has been chosen and "Happy Birthday" is sung, the student will attempt to blow out the candles. As the teacher advances the slide, only the candles on the right will be blown out. Encourage the student to try again, blowing towards the left. On the third attempt, all the candles will be extinguished, accompanied by fireworks and a "Happy Birthday!" message displayed at the top of the screen.

Remember to use the resource in presentation mode and navigate using the mouse or touchpad. Avoid using the keyboard to advance the slides, as it may prevent you from reaching the last slide.

Make every student's birthday celebration unforgettable with "Birthday Blowout: Interactive Cake and Candle Celebration." Create a joyful and engaging experience that will bring smiles and excitement to your classroom or virtual learning environment. Get this resource today and celebrate birthdays in a whole new interactive way!

By Ms Garcia Store

Bilingual telling time practice English and Spanish

By Ms Garcia Store

PowerPoint tool to practice the analog clock with your students. You can link it to your class calendar if you want. It doesn't work on Google Slides.

When you click on the button "Enter", you activate the clock and its clock hands start spinning until you click "Enter" again. Then, the message "What time it is?" and its translation to Spanish "¿Qué hora es?" appear so the students can practice answering the question. They can do it as many times as you want.

You have two video links to practice the telling time singing. One is in English and the other is in Spanish.

Instructions: The slide requires the use of the mouse or the mouse path.

Coins Interactive Notebook & PowerPoint Identify, Count & Compare Money!)

By Until the Pieces Fit

Are your students having difficulty learning and identifying coins and their values? Mine were, so I worked to develop this interactive notebook and PowerPoint slides & I am thrilled with their progress!

The materials in this packet are developed to use in conjunction with one another. Use the powerpoint to introduce coins, then use the notebook to provide practice with each concept. I have also included a parent letter and a 2 page assessment to provide you with valuable pre/post learning data.

Notebook - The notebook is in black and white. Students are encouraged to color pages to reinforce the colors of coins and make the book more "theirs". Most pages require students to make interactive activities with simple cuts & paste directions. Pages that require more directions (accordion counting, and pocket with flap), are towards the end of the book.

The notebook features practice in the following areas for identification and use of the penny, nickel, dime and quarter:

•Sorting – Color and sort coins into a jar

•Identification – Identify front, back, value, and information about the penny, nickel, dime and quarter.

•Counting by 1’s, 5’s, 10’s, 25’s: 2 activities! Students will identify how much & use coins to make requested amount

•Accordion counting support

•Comparison – Flippable pages show how much $1 is in penny, nickel, dime & quarter

•Making purchases with coins – Select the item to purchase and place in pocket.

PowerPoint

•Look at and discuss what coins look like & their value

•Interactive slides – practice counting coins, coin comparison & making purchases
