For this assignment, I asked students to make an awesome artwork out of a simple “circle”. Students start with a brainstorming circle paper. After brainstorming different circle designs, students choose their favorite for a Final Copy Paper. Art materials could be colored pencils, crayons, watercolor paint, and/or color sharpies. *CONTRAST, PATTERN, REPETITION, MOVEMENT, ETC. This is a 2-3-day assignment.

Teaching students how to make good choices, as well as the difference between good choices and poor choices is crucial. Teach children decision-making skills and how to make good choices with this cut and glue puzzle activity for elementary students. 

This resource includes six cut and glue activity sheets, all featuring different situations. Students cut out the situation puzzle pieces, and sort them based on if they are good or poor choices. They then glue the puzzle pieces into their proper places on their worksheets.

This creative Line Movement Painting Unit was designed to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this Google Slide file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on a large screen. For this assignment, I asked students to draw 5-10 lines with different movements. After drawing these lines, students outlined them with a crayon. Students painted each section with a different color of watercolor paints. This assignment is an excellent opportunity for students to get better with their painting skills. Students are responsible for two separate artworks for this assignment. Need an awesome Art Unit? I have just the thing for you! This creative Field of Flowers Scene was designed to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this Google Slide file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on a large screen. For this assignment, I asked the students to start right on a 18x24-inch Final Copy Paper. Students were asked to draw 15-30 large flowers all over their paper. Students were allowed to paint the flowers with any colors they wanted. When the artwork was dry students outlined all the flowers with a black sharpie marker. Some collage skills were added to the assignment at the end of the unit when students needed to cut/glue down strips of construction paper to the bottom of the Final Copy Field of Flowers, to look like fence posts. For this assignment, I asked students to make an Underwater Perspective Walkway, celebrating the joy of 1-point perspective and sea life. Students brainstorm their ideas in a sketchbook and learn how to draw in 1-point perspective (step-by-step demonstrations). Measurements w/ rulers and yardsticks are learned. A compass is used for the curves. Students take the sketch to Final Copy paper and outline important features. Materials will be mainly colored pencils and transparent watercolor blue wash paints. This is a 3-5-day assignment.
