Circle Drawing: It's just a Circle! Or is it?

This creative It’s just a Circle! Or is it? : Art Unit was designed to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this Google Slide file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on the big screen.
For this assignment, I asked students to make an awesome artwork out of a simple “circle”. Students start with a brainstorming circle paper. After brainstorming different circle designs, students choose their favorite for a Final Copy Paper. Art materials could be colored pencils, crayons, watercolor paint, and/or color sharpies. *CONTRAST, PATTERN, REPETITION, MOVEMENT, ETC. This is a 2-3-day assignment.

Activity #1, the printable book, includes moveable parts and interactive activities that help students learn about controlling anger. Students see various scenarios and choose a calming strategy egg that will best help the bunny keep calm.
By teaching the bunny calming strategies and coping skills, students will learn about controlling anger.
Activity #2, students read a scenario card, then "add" an egg to the basket. Students love getting to add a calming strategy egg to the bunny's basket.

Collage Art: Geometric Shapes.

This creative Geometric Shapes Collage: Art Unit was designed to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this Google Slide file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on the big screen. For this assignment, I asked students to make a Geometric Shapes Collage showing squares, rectangles, triangles, and/or circles. Students get to choose three of their favorite colors to work with. Students choose which colors go on top the base color papers. Students learned folding, cutting, gluing, and placing (overlapping) skills during this 1-to-2-Day Art Unit. Students shared their artworks on display inside the Art Gallery. I hope you and your kiddos love this! Enjoy!

Painting Art: Picasso Self Portraits. Fall/Autumn.

This creative Picasso Self Portraits Unit was designed to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this Google Slide file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on a large screen. For this assignment, I asked students to sketch themselves in a Picasso-inspired style-abstract. Students exaggerated their facial features and placed them in different areas on their face. Students were asked to outline their artwork with a black sharpie marker. Students used watercolor paint to add vibrant, bold colors to their beautiful artwork. Contrast was a focus. I hope you and your kiddos love this! Enjoy.
Making Good Choices Cut & Glue Teaching Responsible Decision Making Skill

Teaching students how to make good choices, as well as the difference between good choices and poor choices is crucial. Teach children decision-making skills and how to make good choices with this cut and glue puzzle activity for elementary students.
This resource includes six cut and glue activity sheets, all featuring different situations. Students cut out the situation puzzle pieces, and sort them based on if they are good or poor choices. They then glue the puzzle pieces into their proper places on their worksheets.
It is simple, yet highly effective!
Included in Download:
The variety of included situations allows students to decide between good choices and poor choices in a fun and interactive way. Help students develop decision-making skills in a low-pressure, highly engaging way!

Next, I taught students how to draw a tree that has branches extending to the edge of the paper. I demonstrated how to outline and fill in the tree. Students created their own stained-glass tree artwork on Final Copy Paper. Students outlined and colored their artwork. Students used mostly watercolor paints for their artwork. This creative Line Movement Painting Unit was designed to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this Google Slide file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on a large screen. For this assignment, I asked students to draw 5-10 lines with different movements. After drawing these lines, students outlined them with a crayon. Students painted each section with a different color of watercolor paints. This assignment is an excellent opportunity for students to get better with their painting skills. Students are responsible for two separate artworks for this assignment. Anger Management Craft Teaching Self Control and Calming Strategies Activities

“Pop” your student’s anger with this creative and cute calming strategies activity! This self-regulation activity includes seven versions of a 3D coping skills foldable activity. These cut-and-fold activities are quick to prep, easy to assemble, and highly effective at teaching calming strategies and emotional regulation skills.
Encourage students to use their self-assessment skills to look for signs of anger and use anger thermometers to gauge their anger levels. Encourage students to take control of their big emotions by experimenting with various strategies for self-control and emotional regulation until they find the ones that work best for them.
Empower students to be calm, regulated, and in control.
