⭐Have the task cards available alongside STEM and STEAM bins, makerspaces, centers, tubs, busy boxes, morning baskets, or available for early finishers to complete using any available materials. Students can even draw their creations instead of building them!

⭐Use one card a day during morning time. Have students fill out a STEAM / STEM worksheet with some of the challenges that require more problem solving and creativity.

Everyone dreads hearing, "My best friend is moving." Friends are a big deal to our little ones, it can be hard for them to cope with the change of their friend switching schools. To help ease the pain, I designed the "My Best Friend is Moving, BFF Memory Book." This is a fun activity that besties can do together before the big move to reflect on all the fun times they had together during their friendship. The Memory Book easy to make, you double side print the Memory Book pages and staple along the left hand side to bind the pages like a book. Each of the two students then gets a Memory Book, either Book A or Book B (labels are in the bottom right hand cover of the book). The students then work together to complete both books. Students have to pay special attention to who is being asked to answer the question. If it asks for friend A, friend A completes that page. If it asks for friend B, friend B completes the page. This means that even though each of the two books belongs to a specific student, they will both be sharing the activities inside both books. In the end, they will have two completed books filled with their memories together. Each of them can keep one book forever to look back at all the fun they had together. How can you use this resource?

⭐Build all the task cards in one sitting. This typically takes 1 – 2 hours to complete the set.

⭐Have the task cards available alongside STEM and STEAM Activity bins, Makerspaces, centers, tubs, busy boxes, morning baskets, or available for early finishers to complete using any available materials. Students can even draw their creations instead of building them!

⭐Use one card a day during morning time. Have students fill out a STEAM / STEM worksheet with some of the challenges that require more problem solving and creativity.

⭐Use them for public speaking practice. Allow students to build as many cards as predetermined, followed by show and tell with the class, or their families. Use the Discussion Questions to help guide this portion. Students can practice speaking and listening skills, using loud and clear voices, and giving full attention to the speaker. Encourage students to ask questions to their classmates.

⭐Perfect for partner or group work! Allow students to work with partners, or in groups with specific roles as they problem solve together.
