This resource is designed for those early finishers in your art classroom who need a self-directed activity to work on when their project is finished.  National Core Arts Standards and TEKS (Texas) are included for 2nd-5th grade students.  

Use this resource in multiple ways as an early finisher activity, a self-directed guided drawing activity, a one-page illustrated instruction guide to use with student centers, or even as a one-day sub plan. It is a perfect early finisher activity for students to work on a project for Native American Heritage Month.

Multiple variations are included - 4 variations with general instructions or specific material instructions & 2 variations with editable instructions to add your own material instructions. The first lesson is interactive and involves students cutting out facts, and then sorting these facts into paragraphs. In the second lesson the students need to use these facts to write four paragraphs. Then, in the third lesson children need to choose the most important facts and include these in an introduction; after this they need to answer several questions on a prompt sheet before writing up their conclusion. In the final lesson students need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before writing up their work on to a neat copy on the template provided.
