Celebrate Women History Month using this set of 7 of the most influential or Famous Women in Sports Reading Comprehension Passages. The passages are designed for students in grades 3, 4, 5, and 6.

Each passage features a short biography of a famous female athlete, followed by 8 multiple-choice questions that test the student’s understanding of the text.

The passages cover a range of sports, such as tennis, boxing, racing, the Boston Marathon, and soccer. The women in sports included in this set are:

This resource contains 3 cross-curricular art projects inspired by the artwork of Judith Scott, an amazing artist with Down’s Syndrome.  Ideal for Women’s History Month (March) or International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3), this highly engaging lesson is a perfect way to teach students about the value of all people, even those who are different.

This lesson is designed for special needs students to succeed in the art room but can be used with all Kindergarten - 5th grade students.
